Orlando Sanford Airport

Has anyone ever flown into this airport? If I fly PanAm out of Belleville, Illinois it will land in this airport. Thanks for the info!

Sanford is a small airport. When we were there in May 00 there was a lot of construction going on. We flew in from Gary/Chicago Airport. The ticket prices for PanAm at that time were unbelievable. It takes about one hour to get to WDW from Sanford. If the ticket prices were right we would use PanAm again.

We also used Pan Am and flew into Sanford/Orlando. The airport is small and newly renovated.... easy to get to WDW. Do a search for Sanford/Orlando Airport on these boards and read up.... there have been some recent threads about the airport and Pan Am.

Thanks for the information! It sounds pretty good to me. Even if it is further to Disney from Orlando Sanford, the Belleville, Illinois Airport is so easy for us to get to, and so much closer to home, we can get there as opposed to Nashville in half the time! Plus absolutely no city driving for me! I live in a rural area and city driving freaks me out!! The price is a little higher than Southwest, but only $15.00 per ticket. I am thinking this is the way to go!!
