Orlando/Sanford Airport - How far is this from Disney??

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to find some cheap airfares I could maybe fly on Allegiant for $89 non stop from NY but the plane goes to Orlando - Sanford. Anyone familiar with this airport and is it far from Disney? Also anyone flown Alleigant? I'd like your feedback.

Sanford is about an hour or so. Very small airport but it's a nice airport. Can't help with the Allegiant though sorry........

Allegiant flys MD-80s into Sanford. Allegiant has a funny schedule. It is about an hour drive to Disney. The airport is small and compact. Car service to Disney would run you about $180. to $240. They also have rentals available.
