Orlando Reservations : Locals

Do locals eat at Disney World Ventures. And could be easier to get a reservation on short notice?

I don't live in Orlando, but we have been to many Orlando restaurants outside Disney, and I would probably never go to a Disney restaurant specifically if I lived down the road, barring maybe Jiko (because it's delicious). There are some incredible restaurants in Orlando, with much higher food quality, for a much lower price than Disney restaurants.

Sure! Favorites of ours include...

Trevi Pasta - handmade pastas, sauces, and gelato. It rivals what I had in Italy, honestly.

Pom Pom's Teahouse - unique, delicious sandwiches, sides, and teas. They have a Holiday Turkey sandwich somewhat similar to EOS it is delicious.

Artisan's Table - we really enjoy brunch/breakfast here. Another breakfast yum is Hash House a Go Go. Split something there (with 3 people. Haha. Portions are huge). I like the Andy's Sage Fried Chicken Benedict.

The Rusty Spoon is another good one, we split fish & chips there last time and it was to die for.

My husband is German and there is a German restaurant we always drive for - Hollerbach's Willow Tree Cafe. It's in Sanford, about 30 mins from Orlando. He says it is the best German food he has ever had in the states (next to his mother's, lol).

My husband just said I have to give an honorable mention to Sapporo Ramen, lol it was really good, too. We've only been there once, though, and we are big fans of Asian/Japanese inspired food. It was solid ramen, though. And Japanese curry (which is my favorite).

Thank you! We have always stayed on site before and this time we are bringing the dogs and renting a house so we are looking forward to more offsite eating options.

Not a local, but I usually make at least 1-2 reservations day of while at WDW. As long as you are open to different options, especially at a resort, then you can usually get a decent last minute reservation.

To get examples, use the website or app to see what is available today. Then try it another day for that same day.
