I have just been reading reviews and a few people mention they nearly got mugged, got mugged, and got chased. Also i saw there had been a couple robbed gun point!!!

Has anyone ever felt unsafe there? Or seen anything like this?

Making me paranoid.

Been twice -Never felt unsafe, gone in daytime by taxi. Thanks for mentioning it as it is a reminder for me to be safety concious.

Never had any problems there but as the pp's have said go during the day. The only one I was a bit unhappy at was the prime outlets. We were about the only people there apart from the people working there. There were a couple of strange people wondering about.
At premium there were a lot of people and it felt a lot safer. Think the best advice is be aware and keep an eye on you valuables.

We always visit multiple times every trip and all times of the day and evening and have never felt unsafe, quite the opposite in fact.

Don't let it put you off.

We've been several times and never felt unsafe. Quite surprised to read about people having problems, just wondering if it is to do with the multi storey car park they built few years back.

We went here last time and never felt unsafe at all.

We had quite a good spend there to be honest :lmao:

Like others have said, I've been there oodles of times and never had any problems, but you never know, things can happen anywhere you just have to be observant.

I was reading the reviews on Trip adviser it got me abit worried, we have been there before and never felt unsafe was just wondering.

Been loads of times, day and night, never ever seen /heard anything.
you can read up on anywhere and read these sort of stories, so dont worry about it

We have been loads of times and never felt unsafe.......my Credit Card has though!

Oh let's not even go there!!! :lmao:

I think you always have to be more on your guard in an "unfamiliar" enviroment. Cities will generally have more problems than small towns. I used to live in a big city and was mugged plenty times. I would say I err on the side of caution now. Just exercise the same due care you would anywhere else.

We go there a few times every trip and have never felt worried about the surroundings etc And we go at all times of the day.

As others have said you can read reviews like that on lots of websites but I always think people try to scare you with them.

There are unsavoury characters all over the world I am afraid but as others have said, never had a problem, irrespective of the time of day.
In the unlikely event anyone tries to mug me, all I ask is they let me go in the Oakley and Y-3 stores and leave me alone after that. :)

As others have said we did not feel unsafe :)

Only thing I did not like was the stall-holders who tried to thrust a parrot in your face :headache:

Oh, yes! We had the Magic Pens! DD was totally caught up in the whole thing and really wanted them. She had her own spending money. It wasn't an awful deal but I didn't feel she would get the $20 use out of them and said so - to the outspoken disgust of the sales person there. She bought them. They have hardly been used. I am the mum. I knew that. I say nothing. But next time ....:rotfl2:

I have mentioned these before, particularly at the Florida Mall, they really get on your nerves.
I had the spider looking massage contraption thrust upon my head last year - can't remember what my response was but it was certainly not suitable for this forum.

If they tried that with DW they would be in hospital and have a dead parrot, she has a bird phobia. Thankfully never been near us.
