Planning a secret golf trip for my hubby and need some advice!!!
How long would it take to drive from Orlando to Myrtle Beach...........or from Hilton Head to Myrtle Beach?
We have previously driven to HH and this took us about 5 hours........if that gives you an indication of driving speed! ha! ha!
Can you fly from Orlando to Myrtle Beach?
Any/all information greatly received!!!

Orlando to Myrtle Beach, SC roughly 500 miles and an 8 hour drive

Orlando to HHI - 320 miles and 5 hours

HHI to Myrtle Beach -- 230 miles -- 4.5 hour drive

There are flights to Myrtle Beach that connect through either Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC.

Really does depend on the driving speed. The numbers posted above would be good conservative numbers and good for planning purposes, at least for me. They would include potty breaks, traffic and gas fill ups. Actual driving time will probably be a good bit less. For instance, I can go from AKV to the west side of Columbia, SC (about the same distance on west of I-95 as MB is on the east side) in about 7 hours including stops. The route you take also has a lot to do with the time as well. Most of the time, online programs send you through some small towns that really delay your driving.

Well, sort of, and not really. I frequently drive straight through from HH to WDW with no stops and it takes 5 hours....and I drive pretty fast when I can get away with it. And the drive from HH to Myrtle Beach only has one route: Hwy. 17, which has lots of places you have no choice but to slow down and deal with traffic and lights. (note: you can catch I-95 for part of that drive, up to exit 33, but the end result in time is the same as if you drove the surface street through Beaufort). As always, if you can get an early morning start, you'll save time over going later in the day, especially in the summer months.

Original info was from Google maps Orlando to Myrtle Beach (etc.)

For fun, I just did BWV to Myrtle Beach, SC on the AAA site -- 493.1 miles at 8 hours and 2 minutes is their estimate...4 to I-95 to 17 (as DisHappy mentioned).

We live here - HHI to Myrtle is 3.5 - 4 hour drive depending on traffic and what part of Myrtle Beach. The traffic is bad trying to get across MB.

We did Orlando to HHI last August and it was just under 5 hours because we got in a bit of the island traffic.
