Hi,
We are booked to stay at the Orlando Marriott Convention Center next week. My dh has a convention and will be busy from sun up to sun down and more.... So the kids and I are on our own. I don't like to drive around in an area I'm not familiar with so we will not be leaving the hotel except for food runs.
Has anyone stayed at this hotel with kids? Is it kid friendly or will my boys (ages 6 and 12) be bored stiff?
Thank you for your thoughts.

I haven't stayed at the hotel, but I know where it is. You'll be very, very close to Downtown Disney and lots of restaurants. There's also a miniature golf course at the Crossroads (also Jungle Jim's restaurant there which is pretty neat). You could drive there easily (you can probably see Downtown Disney and the Crossroads from the hotel) even if you don't normally when you travel. Have fun!

I can't say enough about this hotel/resort. It was just FANTASTIC!! Five Stars!! 6 heated pools, one indoor, water falls, 106ft slide (even Mom went down it... yikes). There had to be at least 6 hot tubs, probably more.
The staff was extremely helpful and friendly.

Expensive, but you get what you paid for!! Thank goodness the bill was on my husbands company....lol But if you want a really nice - classy hotel, close to EVERYTHING, this is for you. Many of the guests are there for conventions so the pools where not crowded at all!!

We had a GREAT time! pixiedust:

We were just there. See my review of the Marriott Imperial Palm for more details.

I was there at the same time!! Your are probably in some of my home movies by the pool...lol

I didn't like the food court and suits either. Its not like going in there with your little bathing suit to be stared at by 50 men in suits. But since the trip was a freebie for me (my husband is one of the suits) I lived with it. On two days he got us freebie bagged lunches from the conference (not too bad - a large sandwich, chips, brownie, two apples and a diet coke).

I stayed there once. Very beautiful hotel, has absolutely everything you would need or want. Very quick drive to the parks. Enjoy.

Why don't you familiarize yourself with the area from your computer. Then you won't be so nervous. Explore a little and have fun.
