Orlando/Key West

I'm thinking about having a short break in Florida spending some time in Orlando and then visiting Key West as a colleague had a really good time there last month. I know that there's an airport in Key West but has anyone any experience of using it, flying down would be the most convenient for us as none of the party would like to drive.

Any thoughts?
