I was initially thinking no on waterparks too cold?
Anyone been to WDW in February? Should we just stick to the hotel pool? Do the hotels even have pools?
Our first trip. Looking at one of the Pop Star Resorts.

Yes they all have pools.
We have been there in February and it was not real warm. Probably lower 70s. So it depends on your tolerance to go swimming.

We've been 3 times in February (and are going again next February!) and have never been to the water parks, we have used the resort pools on every trip.
Some days have definitely been warm enough, but it's a gamble and because of prebooking fastpasses etc we've just resigned ourselves to not going until we vacation at a warmer time of year!

You can always add on waterpark and more to your tickets when your on your vacation for the same cost. Skip the option and add it when your visiting if you decide you want to do a waterpark.

Feb in my experience can fall anywhere on the spectrum of highs in the 80s to lows in the 30s
Yes, it can be screwed up. However, of all my trips, I'd have to say that 45% have been in February and by mid afternoon on all but a few of those days it was warm enough to go to the water parks. Maybe not as refreshing as in mid summer, but, still doable. Just not something that you can consistently plan on.

- POP and Art of Animation are located across a bridge from each other but do not share anything (pools), newer values. Plus is AoA food court is good and so you do have two choices.

- AllStars are 3 hotels lined up together, you may use each others pools and at times share buses, older values. Of course you can use any food court or bus stop.

The two groupings are not located close to each other. ALL pools on property are heated. Feb can be a wide range of temps even from morning to evening, best bet is layers. AND depending on where you are from swimming may be fine even if cooler. But I never go to waterparks that time of year.

I have been on many Feb. trips. My advice... pack bathing suits and sunscreen along with fleece coats/hats/gloves. And yes on some trips I have used both in the same week!

Be flexible, one year it was clear the only day over 80 would be our first full day so we scrambled and changed plans to accommodate waterpark. We even went to TL one year over MLK weekend, it was unusually warm. I would add on the feature once there or when it is close and you can judge what weather you will have.

But seriously.... pack the fleece too. ::yes::

As @HopperFan stated, Pop and AoA are one resort and the All Stars (Movie, Music and Sports) are a totally different resort. There is no such thing as Pop Stars.
February is usually the coldest month of the year in Florida. I would not plan on a day at a waterpark. If you want to swim, you can enjoy the heated pool at your resort,

This, OP! We have gone twice in Feb. and have decided, no more!! (Actually, Jan. is the coldest month in FL) Both times it was cold, windy and wet! Luck of the draw, I know, but enough misery that we will change our trip times. Yes, it 'can' be lovely then - I 'know' as I'm south LA, but the opposite is also true. Just pack, and be prepared for any weather - except danger of hurricanes - you can at least not worry about those!! :-) pixiedust:

There's no way for any of us to answer this question. The weather in February is too variable to say. Over the years e've had 80 degrees and 40 degrees in February.

Thanks everyone. We are from Washington State so 70 for us is warm LOL. We will pack suits just in case and light jackets but will probably be in the ones in flip flops!

But are you hearing "30 degrees"?

DH works in Seattle, commutes by bus and walking, and he doesn't switch from shorts to pants until it's 32 degrees at home.

In Orlando he was nearly in tears on our first trip when it was in the 40s at Epcot because the cold wind blowing across the *swamp* that is Orlando was bone-chillingly cold. (and it hit the 20s that trip, though that was early December; not even winter yet!)

We were there in January 2015; DH and DS were doing the marathon weekend's 5K. They were so so so cold that morning. iw as volunteering and noticed that when I checked in at 3am it was something like 38 degrees. By the time hubby and son got there it was 36. Yep, it got colder. They were all huddled up together, keeping warm with thousands of their brand new best friends. So so so so cold.

In February of that year, for the Princess 5K morning, it was COLDER. Thankfully rundisney got smart, and brought out the "space blankets" (for the january 5K I was hiding in the first aid tent after we volunteers set up but before any runners owuld be coming through, and that's where they were hiding those blankets and NOT handing them out) and brought in space heaters for the corrals. Because it was colder than it had been in Jan, and in January it was mid-30s that morning.

It can also go from 30 to 70 in the same day! Which is HARD on the system, let me tell you. And hard to dress for. You literally want to bring wool socks and hats and thermals AND swim suits and shorts. Bring it ALL. Jeans and a puffy coat won't cut it for 10 hours walking around in a cold and breezy swampland. You'll be freezing in a few hours, especially if you have any kids in strollers where they aren't generating heat and their bottoms have only a thin piece of fabric and their pants between them and the cold air. Layers.

As for swimming, an 80 degree pool feels like heaven when it's 40. Until you get out. Or if your hair and the skin under it gets wet. Especially the little straggly hair that comes out of a ponytail. Brr.

I don't mean to keep you from February. I just want you to be prepared. If you bring all that and then it's 75, AWESOME. Better to have it than miss it or have to go buy it!

That December trip and January 2014 marathon weekend (the 2015 trip mentioned above was a "do-over"), I ended up sick for OVER a month *after* we got home, and part of it was because of the assault on my immune system by having to work so hard just to keep somewhat warm.
