Just in the final stages of sorting a trip out in January. We'll be in Orlando for three days, then to Port Canaveral for a weeks cruise and then back to Orlando for the final four days. We pick up a car at MCO through Alamo (we've booked with Virgin) and we drop it off at Port Canaveral prior to the cruise. Has anyone else done this as the woman on the phone at Virgin didn't seem to sure as to how straight forward the process was there, is there a shuttle bus to the rental office and after the cruise do I have to go through the rigmarole of having to fill out paperwork for the car I pick up for the rest of my trip?

We're just back and did this in both directions with Alamo via holidayautos

On the way there you drive to the rental agency (if Alamo, don't drive backwards and forwards like we did looking for Alamo, you drop it off at the enterprise depot which serves Alamo and National as well despite no signage to that effect!)

They then shuttle you to the cruise terminal, they were lovely people staffing the office and the shuttle bus so save a dollar or two for tips as they'll help with your bags etc.

On the way back, you leave the terminal turning left to a row of shuttle buses and get on the Enterprise one. I'd pre book your return car before you go as they kept getting us to confirm we had a booking on the shuttle as a couple had just turned up at the office and they had nothing for them.

10 minutes later we were off on our way back to Orlando!

Finally, with holidayautos, it was only £5 more for the premium package with better insurance, cancellation protection and a full tank of fuel meaning you don't need to worry about filling up when tired, great for only £5.

That sounds like what I was told earlier, but a lot clearer. Thanks for the info
