Our family (children age 7 and 4) are going to DW staying at the All-Star Movie beginning December 18.
We are driving from Mississippi and are looking for something to do the first day we drive into Orlando.
We thought about Universal or Sea World, but they are too expensive for 1/2 day of fun. Any suggestions?

Thanks! Kathleen

You could try Gatorland for 1/2 a day fun. We also enjoyed Guiness Book of World Records for a couple of hours.

Definitely Gatorland!

It was my favorite place on our last Orlando trip. Lots of up-close animal encounters, a train ride and, of course, gator wrestling shows. Take a look at their website: www.gatorland.com

Enjoy the pool, ride the monorail, go mini golfing - lots of great places off site, go over to Fort Wilderness and explore...

Then there's the Titanic attraction for an hour or two, Ripleys Believe It Or Not, Splendid China (good half-day here), Orange County History Center, Trolley & Train Museum (for model train fans), Fun Spot (arcade games, karts and more) and Boggy Creek airboats. Plenty to choose from :D
