Can anybody tell me if organic milk is available at any parks, resorts, or restaurants ? Thank you!

I've seen the Horizon single serve milks sold there. I don't know about in a restaurant. I've never asked, but you probably could.

I remember seeing small single-serving sizes of soy milk at several QS locations, but not organic milk. I am assuming that anything you will find at WDW will be UHT/shelf-stable milk, organic or not.

Honestly, you need to look at why you drink organic milk at home and decide if using a substitute at WDW is worth it. Organic UHT is so processed that basically all the nutrients are destroyed and the milk protein broken apart so that the intestine digests it in a unnatural way that can cause plumbing issues. Regular milk has an increased pus count and growth hormones. Soy milk is processed in such an unnatural way as to include non-fermented compounds that the human digestive system is not equipped to handle. There just aren't any good substitutions out there right now. Disney is starting to provide veggie/vegan friendly options, but it is still all "junk food" imo.

Random Factoid: Stonyfield products are organic, but they use powdered organic milk from New Zealand..... I just don't see a great cost-benefit of a product like that vs. consuming non-homogenized or raw dairy products.

You can buy the shelf stable Horizons and bring it with you. My kids like the strawberry and chocolate especially and don't mind drinking it warm.

I honestly don't think she wanted a sermon on milk. :sad2:

We did the shelf stable Horizon milk last time. We had it delivered by Garden Grocer & kept it stored in the fridge in our room. I see that this next trip we won't have a fridge in our room so I'm thinking I may just have the kids drink the milk there. Honestly, I think we will mostly stick with bottled water anyway. I hate to do conventional milk... I guess I could order those Horizon milks & just pour over ice at restaurants. But I think a week with less milk intake may be okay too. :) Long story short, I never saw organic milk in 2011 when we were there last.

Just remembered that Amazon sometimes has great deals on the Horizon milk. Would they deliver to the resort?

So...we were just thinking that we could save a little money if we had cereal in the morning! I didn't think we would be able to get raw milk, so organic was our next choice. We are staying in 3 different resorts over 9 days, so won't be investing much money in groceries. We've never had shelf stable milk...

We drive so we bring our own Organic milk dd9, dd11 takes shelf soy, and dh&I bring almond. As for what's better or not, it should be your choice.

I did not see any organic milk or juice at parks/resorts when we were there in February. All of the kids milk was the "mickey" carton. I always stop and pick up our own. If you're planning to stop at a local grocery store I would caution you because they don't always have the same brand you might be used to back at home.

I suggest picking up a carton before you go to see if your kids like it. Horizon is available at Whole Foods or you can get them delivered from Garden Grocer or Amazon.com.
