does anyone remember this computer game?? it was popular back in the early 90's, i used to play it all the time on the computers at school. i used to love it, and i've been trying to find it for a while now but i can't seem to find it ANYWHERE! i'd really love to play it again. any help?

I spent many afternoon with my cousins playing this game. Now my friends and I get a kick out of mentioning this game when someone brings it up. I tried to forge (sp?) the river but my oxen died!

I'm gonna go check out that website!

I used to LOVE playing this game! I remember spending many a computer class playing it when I was a kid. My people always seemed to die off though.

My kids used to paly that. Occasionally I would play it with them too.

The site is going suuuper slow for me, and I don't have the game on this computer. I know you need to download both the files on that site. The "disk image" and the other one. But I'm not sure what order they need to be opened in. If I can get the site to work I'll figure it out again.

i wonder if it's the zip program i'm trying to use......it might have expired. i'll try again with another one.

i tried it again and it still said something about a Bin file.....i've NO idea what that is lol.

My winzip expired, and now that it won't let me use it for eternity even after the trial expired, I'll have to find a new unzipping program. blech. I know the game works without anything but an unzipping program and the two files on the site. I just have to try and remember how...

I still have a version of that game. It was okay but nowhere near as good as Amazon Trail (3rd Edition). Man, I loved Amazon Trail 3 so much. I must have played it through at least 15 times. :faint:

you know what i JUST remembered? i won this amazon.com certificate at work a few weeks ago.....and i haven't used it. and i went to check to see if they sold the game.....and they have it on there for $5 so i think i'm going to just snag it off of there. it's the third edition tho. i don't want the BRAND new one, the 5th edition....because i kinda liked the original version. no one seems to have that one tho....i'm betting it won't even work on the computer i own now. when i used to play it at school it was on a floppy disk.....my computer now doesn't even have that drive! lol.

come visit me and i can take you to well preserved wagon ruts about 5 minutes from my house!
