Ordering WDW Tickets Online?

I am planning to order my tickets in advance online from WDW. I have read there is some kind of fingerprint security thing that is now part of the ticket. Will they actually send me my ticket or just a voucher that needs to be cashed in for a ticket? Will it actually save me time on Day 1 or do I just line up in a different place.

Have you looked into other sources for tickets? After years of buying directly from Disney, I finally took a leap of faith and bought 2 seven day no-exp. hoppers from Ticketmania. It saved me about $40 over WDW prices. We went last week and the tickets were just fine. As far as the finger scan goes, it only takes a second and everyone at the turnstile does it (but our first morning at AK they were not using the scan...also one night at MGM...I assume they might not use it when they are either expecting a big crowd at the turnstiles or when they may be having technical difficulties and just decide it is not worth the hassle!)

You will receive your actual ticket. You'll use the biometrics reader at the turnstile of each park you enter. The readers can also write to your ticket, so it's all done right at the turnstiles.
