ordering water for july 4th get away

I have read that some people go online and have bottled water mailed to their resort and then they have room service deliver it once they are in the roon. I need help with this please..

when should i place the order

how early in advance can I have it waiting for me

how can i get it to the address of the resort we are staying at

do I just contact the front desk to see if they have my package when I check in?

Oh wow this sounds like a great idea. The water at Disney is awful. I cannot drink it, so I end up drinking much more diet soda than I would ordinarily. I would much prefer water, and that is so easy. That would be great, and well worth the money. I know there is a supermarket at crossroads, by the hotels near downtown disney. If time isn't a problem, you could take a taxi to it and buy the water bottles there. I am only going for a short trip this time and don't think I will have the time to do that.

I will be ordering water to be delivered for my trip that is in 28 day! Woo hoo! Anyway, from what I have read on these boards I will answer your questions below.

when should i place the order About a week before you leave. I will be arriving on a Sunday 7/20 so I will order my water on 7/11

how early in advance can I have it waiting for me There was a person that had it delivered very early and I guess it gets stored until your arrival date.

how can i get it to the address of the resort we are staying at I got my hotel information from allears.net. There is a link to look at different resorts and at the bottom is the address to the resort. Also, have them clearly mark the package with your name, reservation # and check in date.

do I just contact the front desk to see if they have my package when I check in? I believe that they will input information into the computer under your reservation # ( I am not 100%) but others have said that when they checked in they were told that they had a delivery.

We order from Costco.com (you don't have to be a member). We order it 4 business days before we arrive. It is waiting when you arrive. When you check in-tell them you have a package waiting and they will deliver it to your room. A case of water from Costco (24 bottles) costs the same as 2 bottles in the parks!!!

thank you all for your responses and the way to go about doing that. When I was shopping this afternoon for more supplies for our trip I ended up buying a Britta water dispenser that came with a filter. I figure as much water as I drink (I have recently given up soda for the most part) that it would cost about the same and when we are done I can store it for future vacations. All I will have to do is just get a new filter for it. If I want to be really frugal about it I can save some of the water bottles that we buy here and there before vacation and pack those to fill up for the parks. Thank you again for your time posting!
