That is actually very funny. I just could not understand why you were waiting for answers, when you and others had already replied. I even opened DIS on another window to compare. :lmao:

Tell me what I was asking when I started the thread. Since posting the second item (about no one wanting to tell me)....I've gotten lots of responces. Quite a few mixed ones....because I did ask the same question on another board...

I know when we went before they were more relaxed on what the kids ordered and didn't seem to have such limited kids menues. Plus if the kids menues didn't have an appitizer or dessert listed you COULD order one off the adult menu. After all the dinning plan does state that EACH person on the plan is intitled to one appitizer, one entree, one desert and one drink.....therefore if the kids don't have options to pick from I'd think they'd be able to order off the adult menu....after all they get the SAME things included in their plan. I guess that sorta falls into the same aspect as when you go to a place that doesn't even have a kids menu...they are able to order off the only menu the place has.

Not that it's a huge deal...but with the kids menus being soooo limited so much I'm sure my dd would like being able to order more than chick strips or pb&j with jello every now and then.

And I guess I didn't put alot of though into the menues being alot diffrent than whats posted on All ears and here on the dis....that'll just have to be something we come across as were on the trip.

We did Disney 10 days in Oct and ate TS every night. EVery place we ate had kids appetizers on their menus except Wolfgang Puck. They flat-out told me that kids can NOT order appetizers from the adult menu, and they had no kids appetizers. I don't know what would have happened if we had pushed the issue...WGP is not Disney-owned...I really didn't get the impression they would budge. Also, FYI milk was not an included beverage on the DDP for kids, we had to pay for it. Again, they told me this upfront.

Every other place we ate- Rose and Crown, Kona, Flying Fish, Mama Melrose, Le Celliar, Brown Derby, SCi-FI,...ALL had kids appetizers on the menu and that is what they had to order from. I think when the DDP first came out lots of places did not have kids appetizers, but that is not the case anymore. Also, they are pretty much the SAME appetizers everywhere and nothing spectacular. Chicken noodle soup and salad with ranch dressing. Some places had veggies & dip instead of the salad. Some places had a signature (to that restaurant) soup instead of chicken noodle. Like Le Celliar had cheddar cheese soup and Rose and Crown had potato leek soup. They are in much smaller bowels than adult sizes though. Even Flying Fish and Brown Derby which are both signature restaurants had chick noodle soup and salad with ranch dressing as the kids appetizers.

Also, if the kids order the 3 in one combo thing (in the mickey head shaped plate) that INCLUDES their appetizer and dessert. So be aware of that. Otherwise when everyone gets dessert, you'll have to tell your kids that those apple slices WERE his dessert. ;) Although, the CM's are very good about explaining it all.

Also, dessert for kids CS meals is sugar-free jello-everywhere! :goodvibes
