ordering my new camera-nikon D-7000

I am so excited, I can't hardly stand it! I will be ordering a Nikon D-7000 this weekend, & will have it later next week. I've also been looking for an online digital photography course. I found one & will be enrolling shortly after my camera gets here. Please tell me about your experience with this camera. It comes with an 18-105 vr lens. I love taking wide angle shots, so I am thinking about getting the Tokina 11-16 or Sigma 8-16. Although after maxing my budget purchasing my camera, I might be getting some use out of the 18-105 lens for a while. Thanks, I really enjoy all of you here on the photography board!

Congrats on your new camera. At one time I had the D-7000 and I loved it. I would still have it but I came across a great opportunity to pick up a lightly used D 700 and sold my D 7000 to finance it.

You will enjoy the D-7000 immensely. Your biggest issue after buying your new camera will be trying not to succumb to "gear lust". After you get your camera you will start thinking about all the great things you could buy to compliment your new toy such as lenses, filters, bags, straps, extra batteries, extra memory cards, tripods, monopods, etc....
