I am not a big eater. Is it possible at CS for me to order a kids meal or are there small portion meals or sandwiches available?

I have ordered off of the kids menu but be warned that the food choices are not that great on the kids menu. You can also get things like just a hamburger and cut out the fries and things like that.

I think in general, restaurants frown on grown-ups ordering from the kids menu.

My counsins daughter, 28, has CP and is very frail. She always eats of the kids menus at WDW and any fastfood. They have never given her a problem.

We do that all the time and no one has every commented on it.

At counter service places there's no "frowning on" any adult ordering a kid's meal. And if there was....so what?? You're getting a smaller portion, and more limited selection of items in return for a lower price. If that fits your needs, then order it.

I'll usually order the kids' corn dog nugget meal at Cosmic Rays. It's total junk, but if I'm in the mood for corndog nuggets I'd want them limited to just 4 pieces instead of some adult portion where you're consuming a whole day's calories in one meal  Also, if an adult just wants a snack-sized meal in order to later have room for a Mickey ice cream bar or something, the kids meals might work well for them.

At table service restaurants it's a different story - I'd feel stupid asking for a kid's meal at LeCellier for example, but it never stopped me from ordering the the moose when it was only on the kids' dessert menu :rotfl: In general though, there are too many great items to pick from at the table service places...I couldn't imagine "wasting" my food choice on a kids meal there!

I ate kid's meals all last week at WDW counter service. I liked the smaller portions so I could get a snack later. I also liked how the kid's meals had a choice of 2 sides, usually fries, carrots, grapes, applesauce, choc. pudding or fruit punch jello, or choc chip cookie. My kids actually liked not always getting fries.

Enjoy! Pam

Order for my DW the kids meal a lot.

I asked once last April and the CM said I could have it .......I am a diabetic and I didnt want a big meal with fries...so I had a kids meal with grapes and applesauce....just what the dietician ordered......hahaha......

By the way at a CS, how would anyone know if you had a kid or not. Most of the time just one person from my family does the ordering? They would not know how many kids I have. (yes we are table savers, Flames, flames)

You can most certainly order a kids meal at counter service restaurants. Be forewarned, though, that some of the kids meal options are pretty icky. You can get any adult item ala carte, so you can get *just* a hamburger, or pizza, or chicken strips, and cut out the french fries, salad, or whatever else comes with it.
