Ordering from Laughing Place?

I placed an order on this website on 12/12 - I was told my order would ship on 12/21. Good I'd have the items by Christmas. When no gifts arrived and nothing was shipped on this date I emailed them and was told they would check on it. I told them I needed the items by 12/30.
I'm so irritated. No one has gotten back to me and I haven't received my order.

Has anyone else dealt with this site in the past? Highly unlikely I will ever order from them again.
 
I have ordered from them and had a similar experience. The items were eventually shipped, but not until I e-mailed about my missing order. I think it ended up taking an extra 3 weeks from the time it should have arrived.
 

thanks everyone - obviously I should have asked on the disboards before I placed my order....live and learn. I just did my hall in a "disney monorail" theme and I really wanted the photos they have of the monorail to hang in my hallway. Oh well. Needless to say, I will never order from them again.
 
Add me to the list of former customers. It's one thing to have a delay and another thing to just leave you hanging with no communication about the order.
 
I had a similar experience. I was told the order would ship right after Thanksgiving. Mid-december I had totally forgotten about my order until I was browsing my e-mails. I e-mailed to inquire about when it would be shipped and they sent it a few days after my e-mail. It took about a month to get the calendar I ordered.
 
I don't think they have any of their merchandise is stock. I think when you order they go to the park or the WOD and get it and then ship it.
 
Add me to the list of former customers. I do like to look at their website to find stuff that I want, but then I try to locate it elsewhere. They just don't ship when they say they will and then you just get the run-around. For the prices they are charging, you would think they would be more on the ball. :confused3

Add me to the list who will never use them again. It's in poor business practice for the customer to have to inquire numerous times just to get an item they ordered and paid for.
I got so tired of waiting for items ordered from them, that I don't even browse the website anymore, and I have marked their e-mails as junk.
 
I ordered a MNSSHP CD from them a couple of years ago and it shipped pretty fast, but I've heard the shipping is pretty slow more than once since then. I wonder if they have different people doing the shipping than before. I do something similar as a previous poster, I look to see what is new in the parks so I can tell one of my friends to pick it up for me when they go or to prepare for what I want to buy before I go.

Another thing I've noticed - and do not care for - is they are starting to carry a lot of stuff that is generic disney or just generic "junk" in general. It bugs me that they imply the stuff they carry is park merchandise and it isn't always.
 
I also had a horrible experience with them. I believe they are a 'shopping service" as in they go to the parks and buy the stuff you order, so if the parks are out of the item so are they. I got some of my stuff after a long while, and never got the rest, so after several back and forths of them saying they expected to ship soon etc, I asked for a refund and finally got it. Never again. Also..the prices are ALOT higher than the parks..I understand the need for a profit of course, but they are really high.
 
Yup same thing here. Something was suppose to be shipped the week before christmas and got no notice of shipment. I then emailed and was told the item was out of stock. A little notice would have been nice. They then requested I pick another item. I emailed that I wanted a refund and got no answer. I then called and got no answer tried again and finally left a message. Again no response. I finally opened a dispute with paypal and got my refund. I really wanted that mickey teapot!!!!
 
Wow, I thought it was just me. :confused3 I had the same experience when trying to order just a few things like calendars etc. this past Nov. I ordered early enough that I still got the items before Christmas, but had to email them about my order and get all aggravated just like the rest of you folks in this thread. The prices they are marking up stuff is absurd, I could probably cold call someone from the Orlando phone book and have them get the stuff for me quicker and cheaper lol. I think a mod should make this a sticky to warn people about this site and their callous attitude and shabby customer service so others don't have to go through what we all have gone through. I would NEVER order from this site again sadly to say. Don't these people realize that it is only a matter of time before all us past customers start to compare notes at public message boards, boycott their site, and then encourage others to do the same? :rolleyes1
 
All I have to say is the prices are high, communication poor, and good luck getting what you ordered. If you want Disney park merchandise call Walt Disney World direct.:confused3
