I see DCL has items to purchase for Birthday’s, anniversary’s, water and wine that you can buy to have delivered to the room. In the past I’ve seen Christmas trees that you can get for the room. Currently you can get Valentine’s Day gifts with rice crispy treats, chocolates, or a bottle of champagne.

I was wondering if they offer an Easter gift? I’m getting off the ship on Easter morning and I don’t know if I should purchase stuff at home and have it shipped in advance, or if I can order something for DCL to deliver.

Some of my shipmates believe they will let us off later since it’s Easter but I don’t see that happening.

Anyone ever leave a ship on Easter? What can you tell me about that morning?

I haven’t disembarked on Easter, but I have boarded a ship twice on Easter morning, and it was no later than any other time. I’m sure they had the guests off the ship at the same time they normally do.

Did you have any Easter memories from the ship? I'm guessing a Mr/Mrs Bunny or maybe a special costume for Mickey and Minnie?

The characters do have Easter costumes. The White Rabbit has made appearances, there are some Easter activities and there several religious services. However, I am not sure how this would work with easter being your disembark day.

I don't mind that so much. I would like to purchase a Disney style Easter basket of special candy maybe with a stuffed animal or a few pin's for the morning when we leave.

Yeah, DCL won't delay debarking just because it is Easter. They have a schedule that they keep and holidays are no exception. Disembarking can be delayed for other reasons like getting back late or fog or a medical emergency but not just because it is a holiday.

Delay didn't pass the common sense test for me, but I've only boarded on the 4th of July with regard to holiday boarding.

I just don't get why they won't offer us ways to spend more money. I can't be the only person who would have trouble getting candy's/food past customs and TSA. It would be great to have a rice crispy Mickey and a few chocolate eggs.

I get it. It would be very convenient if they offered Easter options for the in room gifts. But, I have often taken candy onboard and had no problem with TSA. As long as it is sealed and not a liquid you should have no problem. We just flew last week (non Disney trip) and had a bag of candy in my carry on and had no issues with TSA.

We are flying out tomorrow to San Juan for the Wonder sailing on Sunday and plan to pack a few boxes of movie theatre size candy for the shows and movies.

I like the hand made stuff which is what we buy for special occasions. Most of those are wrapped with a twist and not a machine. Maybe I can get something from the shops. Have a great time in San Juan! Those trips seemed reasonably priced.

Thank you!! Yes, they were priced right so we jumped on it pretty last minute (booked the day after Christmas). Good luck in your treat search!!

I would check after Valentine's day. Pretty sure they sold Easter goodies last year. I think they wait until one holiday is done before they offer things for the next holiday. Plus it's still January, Easter isn't until April 1, that's later than it is some years, that could also explain why it's not on the site yet. We'll be on the Wonder in March, hadn't thought about getting Easter treats until I read your post. I might order some for our cruise if they're available.

I really really really have been wishing that would be their way of thinking. I wonder how soon they would put it on? Feb 1, Feb 14 or 15? I'm like the little boy on the old DCL commercials...."I'm too excited, I can't sleep" probably not how it goes but that's how I remember it.

Do you have a Disney store near you? Last year they had adorable baskets and animals (Stitch in a bunny suit) that I would likely grab. The baskets were material, so you could fold and pack. Then get some candy while on board. That might be the easiest (one less expensive) route to go.

Why would you have problems getting candy past customs?

Which ship will you be on? Someone just posted a video of all the goodies on the Fantasy's new Sweet on You upcharge place. OMG, all the ice cream and candy. It's going to take a lot of willpower to NOT want it all!! You could get some of the goodies there. Looks like they sell the Mickey rice crispy treats. The video is on the thread titled "ice cream vs ice cream palour".

The good old days when I drive 90 minuets in any direction and find a Disney store. First big clearance day I was known to hit two or more getting the cutest cloths for my daughter and all my nephews.
But one by one they all closed on me. It’s all by mail now.

I’ll be on the Wonder, I don’t think they have the candy stores added as part of the last Remodling.
