Ordering cake

Pat was partially helpfull ordering my cake BUT when I mentioned the Disboards she scolfed "threre not too accurate"
Was offered cake w/ fondant (which we wont eat/need).....how can I get a cake I have pictiures of? Does she have a boss we can talk to?

I worked with Chef Brian at the Contemporary- but there's a cake chatter thread on the Disboards- some of them have had to be very insistent with Pat. You might go there to see what they've said.

Here's a link to the DIS' Cake Chatter Thread. I would pretty much *never* mention the DISboards to any cast member because it almost always incites eye-rolling (at best). However, since the Cake Chatter Thread is merely a record of what other people pay for cakes from the various resorts and what requests they get fulfilled, it is actually quite accurate.

Unfortunately, this particular CM, who is the ONLY person you can order from at the Grand Floridian, is the least tractable of all the various cake-ordering contacts. If you call the Contemporary, BoardWalk Inn, or the Yacht & Beach Club you will find them much more amenable to special requests.

Have you asked Pat for her e-mail address so you can e-mail her the picture? I worked with Pat when I ordered the cake for our vow renewal. There were a few bumps, but I found that if I was patient with her, she would take the time to understand what I was trying to explain. She even went out of her way to get her hands on a pair of kissing seahorses I had seen on a cake and wanted on my cake as well (when I placed the order the GF didn't have them, but she said she would try her hardest to get them- I was thrilled when they brought my cake out and there they were!)

Thank you for saying this. I have always found her to be very lovely as well. She has always gone out of her way to make our events extra special even searching out things on her own like the other example given with the sea horses.
