What is the procedure to order a cake at Disney?

All I know is that you have to order a day or so in advance.

Is there a listing of choices and prices to view online?

Thanks for the help!

In most cases you will have to call the restaurant directly to order, and you can do so much earlier than 24 hrs. if you wish. Where do you want to order the cake from? There are no pics or prices online, but there is a thread here on the DIS that has pics from other people's birthdays and such.I also have one in my signature that we ordered from the GF bakery for dessert after dinner at 1900 Park Faire.

How cute! And my mouth is watering just looking at that cake. Yummy!

Your daughter is beautiful. That look on her face is worth the price of the cake and the whole trip!

I'm not sure which restaurant we'll officially celebrate yet. It will be my oldest DD's birthday. We are going in December.

You can call Disney Dining and they can give you the number to the restraunt that you want to order it from. You call them and set it up. They give you all of the prices and options.

That link was very helpful! Thanks!

Whew it's a long thread.

I think I'm going to call up CRT for something special.

Then another day we have to go to Whispering Canyon and tell the waiter as we get there. If they do what I have read...I'll have to have the camera ready to get to get the bewildered look on DD's face. Talk about priceless.

Everything else can be spontaneous.

I was told when I made my dining reservations for sept
that for my anniversary dinner at cal grill I could call ahead and order a special dessert. (wedding aniversary)
I was given the number for the cal grill and I am planning on doing it. Not vertain of the cost- but I am planning on just a small one, for two people.
:thumbsup2

Thanks! My dd's birthday is in Dec. too, so we'll be there this year too! :woohoo: Not sure where we'll have her birthday dinner yet though.
