Ordering appetizers only for tea at GF

Would it be considered bad ettiquette to go to tea at GF ad only order a few appetizers along with tea? I see that there is no fixed door price and there is the option of ordering appetizers.

When we went to tea we ordered only what we wanted. My DD wanted some tea stuff but didn't want the kids tea so she picked the things she would enjoy and I have had Gastric Bypass so there was no way I would be able to eat a full tea. They seemed to be fine with it.

The tea isn't really a meal, so there aren't any appetizers in the traditional sense.

You have the choice of ordering from several groupings that include combinations of tea sandwiches, pastries, etc. Or, you can order items a la carte - sandwiches,scones, strawberries and cream, etc.
