Where can I order a mini wedding cake and what is the normal cost for these?
We are staying at the AKL concierge in two weeks and will be celebrating our anniversary

Thanks

Hi Joan1:

I haven't done this myself (will be ordering a cake for Mom's Birthday on the next trip), but I believe that since you are staying in concierge you should be able to call up and request the assistance of a cm there.

Good luck and Happy Anniversary!

We just had ours last month. The cakes run $25.00 and you should be able to place an order through the Itinerary Planning Office for your resort. There are several flavors and frostings you can choose from. However, the most important thing is to order as early as possible. You want to make sure that the bakers have time to get your order done and ready for you when you want it delivered.

Here's a photo of one we ordered in case you're interested...

Jan&theboys-

Where did you order this cake from? We will be there in Oct. with 2 celebrations (our anniversary  and DS 4th b-day ::MickeyMo ). Did they deliver it to a resturant? How many people do they feed?

Thanks!

Since we stayed in a concierge room for our trip, we ordered it from one of the concierge staff at the Itinerary Planning Office for the Boardwalk resort before we left. You may be able to make a restaurant arrangement, depending on where you are staying and which restaurant you are considering. We actually had ours delivered to our room the last evening of our stay.

As far as size goes, keep in mind these are mini-wedding cakes, so they are only meant for one or two people at most. However, it may be enough depending on your appetites. I think there may be some additional photos somewhere on the Weddings board so you can see the comparison in size.

Thanks
I just contacted the itinerary planning office at AKL for more information

Jan;

If I can ask, what was the cost of your 2 layered cake with the castle?

Was the castle white chocolate? or was the cake one of the mini cakes?

It looks wonderful, I was hoping to order something next year for our 20th anniversary.

The cake cost $25.00 and it was a mini cake with a white chocolate castle on top. And I have to say it was delicious. :)

Here's a different photo so this way you could get a better perspective on its size...
