just ordered my photopass plus my parents are paying for it as its my birthday on tuesday

i have just hope its a more simple procedure than it sounds !! all that downloading and deadlines sounds confusing

so do i get anything now or do i just take my order number to a photopass shop when we arrive and pick the card up ??

i am not sure whether i should have bought an extension to the photos as we leave disney on the 29th august after arriving the 22nd but we dont get back to the uk until sept 13th

omg im actually going to disney world !!

Photopass plus you get the card theough the post, take that with you to have photos added, the pass is valid for 14 days and the photos stay on the account for 30 days.

We had ours emailed to us to download so no waiting for the photo cd to arrive

If you are a larger party then get everyone a normal free photopass card from the photographer and then add all the photos to the master card at the end of the holiday, we did this and its great. The master card is the red one that comes in the post and this is the only one that can be used for ride and restaurant pics

we are just the one family so dont need to worry about additional cards

so i must remember to pack and take whatever gets sent in the post now !! ok !!

if i want a cd then do i pay again ? then or have a i already paid for the cd as part of the package

it will be so nice to have some photos of us all together as a family i honestly dont think we have any !!

thankyou xx

is it 30 days from the 1st use then ? so if we are away 22 days i will still have a week when we return to sort it !! if so that will be plenty of time i will want to view them before i even unpack

It arrives in a dvd box, just ooen it and take the card inside, thats what we did.

I think its 30days from when you load the photos online

Im not sure if shipping the cd is free or not as we have only ever done the download option in recent years

There are 2 deadlines with Photopass.

You have 30 days from the date of the first photo to claim it online.

Once claimed you have 30 days to edit and order your photos.

The CD is included with PP+ however you will have to pay shipping of about $15. Downloading the photos is free.

Do you have to pre-order these before you go?
I thought you could just buy one from the first photographer you come across?
Also, we're going for 3 weeks, is there an option to extend it to 3 weeks?

There's a discount if you pre-order the PPP more than 14 days before going.

There is a discount if you pre-order either the regular PP CD or the PP+.

Price pre-ordered of PP+ is $149 but if you but there is $199.

The regular PP pre-ordered is $129 but order it after it is $149.

I ordered the Photopass + in March and it arrived a couple of weeks later. It came in a DVD style box with a CD already loaded with Disney Pictures.
There was no card in the box though as others have said. Maybe things have changed recently? But there was a voucher that I have to take with me to exchange for the Photopass + card.

Am really looking forward to getting the ride photos. Have fun with yours.:disrocks:

You need to preorder the PP+ at least 14 days before leaving the UK (delivery time) to be able to get the discount
You don't get the card (red card) in the mail, you get a voucher in the DVD box. You need to take that voucher to the photopass kiosk, either at DTD or in the parks

If you don't preorder, you can purchase one at the regular price at a photopass kiosk (DTD or parks)

The card you get from photographers are regulars photopass cards, they don't provide the "+" features (dining or ride photographs)

you can have your photopass+ extended beyond the 14 days limit. You need to ask the CM at the photopass kiosk before the CM validates your card (will punch holes in it). Just have a proof of stay in your possession (kttw, reservation print out) just in case the CM asks to verify what your check out date is.

Photographs need to be claimed 30 days from the day they are taken
example : if your first picture is taken on August 1st, you need to add your photopass+ card to your photopass account before August 31st
then you have 30 days to order your pictures from the time you add the photopass+ card to your account
same example : your first picture is taken on august 1st, you add your photopass+ card on august 20th, you have until September 19th to order your photoCD
The sooner you add your photopass+ card to your account, the sooner you need to order your pictures. (but don't wait past the 30 days limit)

to order your CD you'll need to use the discount code that came in the mail with the DVD (don't lose it) it's on a separate sheet than the voucher to redeem your PP+ card.

You can download your pictures, for free if you choose the download method.
It seems that you cannot download if you have more than 700 pics in your account
shipping the CD is another method and it will incur an additional fee of $15

Can anyone confirm for me the shipping cost for ordering the PhotoPass+ CD after you get home? PPs have said $15. For the DLR version of PhotoPass+, the discount voucher includes shipping (i.e. the CD shipping is prepaid.) Is this not the case with the WDW version of PhotoPass+?

Shipping is included within US. The $15 charge is for shipping to UK.

I ordered my photopass + on 2nd May and it arrived in the mail yesterday (13th May) In the package was a DVD box with a disk of stock pictures, a limited release and a voucher to be redeemed for the photopass + card when we get to WDW.

Previously, we have only had the regular photopass but I think it works in a similar fashion. You get your card, and you have 30 days to claim the pictures at the website into your account. When you return from your trip, you order the disk that contains all of the pictures you have claimed. The disk is then shipped to you (last year we paid around $15 shipping).

So, to clarify: do you only ever have one card that you can add ride photos to? We are a big group, and thought it would be good to have this option, but not sure now? How would we add ride pics that we haven't been altogether on? And could you have multiple pics from the same ride : there may be upto 12 on a ride at a time?

Yes, I think you only get one 'plus' card per se, so yes, just one card that you can add the ride photos to. When we weren't altogether, we left the PP+ card with the people most likely to use it for ride photos, whilst the others just used a normal PP card.

We also had multiple ride pics on the same ride so to speak, and had no problem adding them all to the card at the same time when we were there last week; we just gave the cashier all the numbers.

I believe that if you retain your numbers, you have a limited time so that you can return afterwards to get your ride photos put on the PP+ if you don't have it with you at the time of riding. I'm not sure exactly how long this is though.

Hope that helps somewhat
