Ordered my MUSICAL HISTORY OF DISNEYLAND this morning

Disneydirect.com now shows "This item will ship in 3 weeks" where yesterday it stated "This item will ship in 1 week." Hope that doesn't mean the LEs are gone and I'm getting a regular set.

UPDATE: I called back today because I didn't feel comfortable about not having an order number from yesterday. While I was on the phone I asked whether I was guaranteed a LE set since I was concerend with the backorder. She said yes, I have a LE set and the disneydirect web site will be updated when all the LE sets are sold out.

Now it says it's unavailable, but it also says:

"This numbered box set with the limited-edition gold vinyl is only available at Disneyland® Resort, Walt Disney World® Resort and Disneydirect.com."

Guess I WILL be packing that extra collapsible duffle bag!! I'm heading down TOMORROW! Yippie!

Did anyone notice on this CD from the photo on Disneydirect.com that the CDs are a "hidden" mickey from there placement in the box. Real cute. Can't wait to get my cd. I was told I was in the first 100. That would be cool.

:cool1: Mine shipped this morning!!!! :cool1: Thank you Disney Direct!! I should see it in about 3-5 bus. days!

Mine shipped yesterday! According to DHL, it's already in my city, AND on the courier truck. So I may get it today or tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) Sorry for the enthusiasm, it's been a bad week and this is a bright spot.

DHL has my delivery on a truck right now!!!! I can't wait! I had no idea that Disney Direct shipped from Atlanta - I could have just drove down there and picked it up myself! That's just a 4 hour drive from my house.

DHL had mine on a delivery truck yesterday. Know what they did with it then? They delivered it to the POST OFFICE. I guess the post office will then bring it to my house?? Does that seem weird to anyone besides me? Why couldn't they just bring it?

That is how all my deliveries from Disney Direct have been delivered. I guess it's easier (less time) for them to deliver all packages to a post office for delivery instead of making all the individual deliveries.

It appears the LE set is now sold out... After removing the product listing for a day or so, it's been returned. Only it now reads "Special Edition" instead of "Limited Edition" and the gold record has been replaced with a black record. Also, it says "This item will ship in 6 weeks." Now if they'd only get mine off backorder... :music:

I was mostly correct. If you search DisneyDirect.com you are only shown the "Special Edition", but using an old link, they still display the (now unavailable) "Limited Edition".

Also, I just found out that Walt Disney Records has a great site featuring all the Happiest Celebration CDs. They even have a six and a half minute montage of the music from A Musical History of Disneyland, and a thirty second clip of LeAnn Rimes singing "Remember When," the 50th Anniversary theme song! If you haven't already, be sure to check this out! :hyper:

Got my LE!!! I only ordered it Tuesday, how's that for service? I got #4101. It looks great.
I should have known this--it says MUSIC all over it, but I was hoping it would have the monologue from the HM. Anyone know where I can get it?

Really? Congratulations! Be sure to post a review. I also ordered mine on Tuesday, but it's on backorder. But #4101, makes me wonder if I'll still get the LE at all... :worried:

Hmm... $125 x 5000 = $625,000 Wow! :earseek:

I'm not sure they have it, but I'd check here. :jumping2:

If WDW receives 2000 LE, DL 2000 LE, and Disney Direct 1000 LE, does that mean Disney Direct got numbers 4000-5000?

I hope you'll get it! I am sure you will, since you bought it when that is what they were promising/. Go to mousesavers.com for more details on how they are doing it--I think it will reassure you. She has the total breakdown for distribution on ALL the editions! Thanks for the link! :wizard:

Perhaps, but not necessarily. I was on the last Yuletide Fantasy tour for 2004, and at the end we were (of course) given a limited edition pin. But they told us that they had intentionally mixed them all up before giving out the first one, so that no one group got preference over the another. But on the other hand, Disneyland is getting a preference on the total # distributed. So I guess we'll just have to wait and see. :magnify:

I appreciate the encouragement. :sunny: I had no idea mousesavers was covering this release. Their site is great, as is their coverage of this. Thanks! :cheer2:

No - I know this because I bought 3 - one for my son, one for my daughter, and one for me and hubby. Our numbers are:

1187
1566
2063

I read on ebay from one of the ones for sell there that the guy selling his opened the box to make sure the CDs weren't scratched, as there has been a report of scratched CDs. I wasn't planning on opening the ones for my kids, but now I wonder if I need to.
I also wonder if that guy was saying because he couldn't stand not opening the box and just had to see the inside?? :rolleyes1

There's also a Disney World CD set coming out. I pre-ordered it with WDW Mail Order on Tuesday. I should have it next week I think. It is nothing like this 6 CD set on Disneyland though.
