Ordered my MUSICAL HISTORY OF DISNEYLAND this morning

There's also a Disney World CD set coming out. I pre-ordered it with WDW Mail Order on Tuesday. I should have it next week I think. It is nothing like this 6 CD set on Disneyland though.

Can you tell us about it? Do you have a link for online info? How did you know about it to order it?

I would love to hear about that as well. I just pushed the button and ordered the 6 CD Disneyland set. I missed out on the Limited Edition. Oh yeah, and missed the free shipping by 1 day too but was getting in trouble by my husband for not just ordering something that I thought I missed out on before.

I have the greatest husband!!

No, it isn't LE, but I was so caught up in the Disneyland set, I decided I just couldn't wait to order the WDW one. I got caught up in the moment. And since I was going to buy it on my next trip to WDW, I thought, hey might as well get it now and start enjoying it.

I got my LE today. It is really wonderful! My DH is making copies of my cd's so I can listen to them and not have the risk of them being harmed. YEA! I wish my grandparents were still alive. They would have loved this. My great uncle too. He worked at DL for the first 10 yrs that it was open. My mother has pictures of him at the park.

I just found out that Walt Disney Records has a great site featuring all the Happiest Celebration CDs. They even have a six and a half minute montage of the music from A Musical History of Disneyland, and a thirty second clip of LeAnn Rimes singing "Remember When," the 50th Anniversary theme song! If you haven't already, be sure to check this out!

For those of us still waiting... The official Records site has changed the audio montage link to just say coming soon. But the clip can still be found on their site, if you know where to look. And I must say it sounds very promising. Those of you that already received yours, is it as good as you thought?

Thank you so much for the link. Now I really got excited in getting it. The DHL website says that the package is a few miles away from my house. I hope I get it. I already had two packages never arriving at my door. If DHL screws this up I am going to go over there and give them hell.

My package arrived in the mail today. Thank goodness my parents are away because it came in a big DisneyDirect.com box. But I'm sure the mailman will say something to my father when he returns. I wish he would keep his mouth shut - its non of his business how many Disney packages he has to deliver to my doorstep. I'm waiting for my mother to return on Mother's Day to listen to it with her while she unpacks or crashes which ever comes first. Even though when I called I was told I was in the first one hundred I am Limited Edition 3171. That's okay. I'm glad I got it.

Just received an e-mail from Disney Direct which states that the set I ordered, which was supposed to be shipped today, is still on back order and that I should receive it by this time next month.

Has anyone who was told the set was on backorder when they ordered actually received it yet?

My set was initially placed on backorder. But early last week Disney Direct sent an e-mail saying my order had been shipped. And in a few days it was here. Hopefully they'll get your set to you pretty soon. The good news is it really is worth the wait!

I was at WDW earlier this month and was in the scrapbooking/book store early May. My dh happened to see a copy of this on a stand. Usually there is one item on the stand and a stack under the stand, but this was ONE lone copy on the stand. He snatched it up and we bought it right there on the spot!! Didn't want to risk coming back later and finding it gone. We were on property for TWO weeks and that was the ONLY one we ever saw. Too bad b/c we wanted a couple extra copies.

btw, we also found the WDW 2 disc HCOE set there and got one of those too. I LOVE reliving Soarin' with the music on!

I would love to get the 6 cd set! Too bad my birthday has already passed. I keep dropping hints to my DH that I would like it. I heard the sample tracks on the Disney website and I am hooked!

I love mine. It DOES have the monologue from HM! If you close your eyes, you can almost pretend you are in the stretchy room!

I just called Disney Merchadise at 1-407-363-6200 and was told that they have very few, but still some, Limited Editions of the 6-CD set.

I've had mine for a couple of weeks now I think. I ordered it on release day and it arrived faster than I expected.
I love it! It was my b-day present to myself.
DH thinks I am crazy, oh well! The kids love it too.

Disc 4 and disc 5 are my favs...........haven't unwrapped the album yet. Not sure if I will.
