Not sure if posting in the right place but we ordered a DVD to learn a bit more about dvc. We rent points from dis often so figured why not take a look. We haven't received it yet but I am getting calls up to 3 times a day since! Any idea what's it about? We most definitely won't make any decisions over the phone like that. Maybe to set up a tour???

We ordered the dvd as well. We only got one phone call asking if we received it and if we had any questions to give them a call. We didn't get any more calls after that.

It's called selling. Disney now has you on the interested list and they want your money.

Have you actually spoken to someone, or have you missed/ignored those calls? Just tell them you want to schedule a tour the next time you're onsite and they should settle down.

When I requested a DVD I was only called once as a follow-up and they asked if I needed any further information and to make sure I had contact information. That was many months ago and I never received another call, but my family did schedule a visit to the DVC center at the Disneyland Hotel on our next visit.

While Disney has no qualms in using your contact information to offer additional services, I have never been bombarded by calls or e-mails; typically one call or e-mail every three months (including the Movie Club - and movie & book clubs can be the worst).

I kept missing the calls, so they called often. I actually just spoke to them about an hour ago, so hopefully the calls will stop.
On a side note, the same rep I was talking to in 2011 is still working there. He and I used to have the longest conversations, but it just wasn't a good time for us to buy. If he has any notes on my account about me, he was probably not thrilled to see me on his list again!:rotfl2:
