Ordered DDE Card

Hi ... I just called to place my order for the DDE card. I spoke to 2 CMs who assured me that the current expiration date is November 30, 2006. This applies to cards that will be ordered as of now, not in the past few weeks. I placed my order and decided to call back to ask another CM and I was told again, the expiration date is November30, 2006. We leave November 23, which is about 6 weeks away. I am in Ontario, Canada ... hope to get it before we leave. Anyone else have the same experience today? I hope this is correct. I will be so happy coz we are returning early Nov 2006.

That sounds right from prevous posts - order DDE beginning of Month and good till the following year - the next month after it was ordered.

Did I sound too confusing ?
Order DDE begining Jan 2005 - then good till end of Feb 2006.

I heard DDE cards arrive in 4 - 6 weeks.

I also called them - if your card arrives while you are away - AND - you mail is being held or fowarded by the post office, the cards will be returned to the DDE WDW office.

So I am gald you gave your cards 6 weeks to arrive.

We leave June 24, 2006.
I will order the DDE May 1, 2006 - then it will be good till June 30, 2007.

I ordered my card last week too! I faxed my form in, so I did not talk to anyone...I had no idea that the card would not been good for an entire year from the time your trip began. I will not be going to Disney until Jan 06, but I have been told that the cards take several weeks to be delivered to you, I wanted to be sure and give it plenty of time to get to me.

So. it could expire before my AP does? Then if I went back to WDW next year for the holidays I'd have to buy it again?

It might be close. I ordered my cards the first week of August (4th) and got my cards about 2 weeks later on August 23rd, that the expiration date was August 2006. The CM told me if you order the card the beginning of the month, the expiration date would be for that month (next year) and when my cards arrived, that was exactly how there were.

Yes you are correct. If you cards are processed like mine were, then they should expire October 2006. The time on them starts ticking as soon as your order is processed. So if you activate your AP in January, your DDE will only be good until the end of October 2006. You would need to renew your membership for the dde card if you want that perk for another trip between Nov 2006-Jan 2007.

Thanks for the info! I did not know that, but I guess having to buy another one fore next yr isn't too bad, especially if it saves me 20% on the dinner meals, that could be a huge savings.
