Ordered Birthday Cake today - yay!

Today l phoned the WDW cake hotline (tel: 001 407 827 2253) to order a custom cake for my son's birthday celebration at Chef Mickey, Contemporary Resort. I phoned just after 1pm UK time (8am in Florida) and after getting through the phone options spoke to someone straight away.
Cake l ordered is as follows:
8" vanilla sponge, white chocolate frosting, Mickey multi-coloured sprinkles
Pluto edible image
Happy 7th Birthday John
cost: $47

I must say ordering it was easy, in fact it was a piece of cake, lol. The CM was very helpful.

It sounds wonderful!! Do they just describe what you are getting and give you the options or is there somewhere, like online for example, where you can preview it?

Yeahy! I am ordering a chocolate slipper for our meal at Cinderellas Royal Table.

There is no website for the cake but there is an awesome thread on the restaurant board (I often drool over it!) - scroll down for links to the cake porn!

I found out info from here on the Dis beforehard (cake chatter & cake photo gallery threads) I had worked out what l wanted to order, l guess if l hadn't the CM would have given me the various options. I'm not sure if there is info on cake ordering on an official Disney site, there could well be.

I've just edited my original post to include the link to a photo of a Pluto cake l saw on the cake photo thread. My son saw that one and really liked it. Hope ours is similar (it's the same cost so hopefully it will be).

You can't go wrong with something like that! Is Pluto a fave of your DS? My sister LOVES Pluto (she's in her 30's ..... )

Looks yummy! I had a Disney birthday cake last year it was beautiful, so was our wedding cake a few years previous

Is Pluto a fave of your DS?

Yes, Pluto is one of his favourite characters. The one thing that he's mentioned he wants to buy on this trip is a medium size Pluto, he's very specific!

We had a cake for my DD and DS (Pirate and Princess themed) last September from Grand Floridian and it was Fab, Looked and tasted great. Would definatly order again
