We are considering a Thanksgiving stay for next year and I was wondering if any local places are advertising a full dinner for 10 people delivered to a resort? I see lots of these places at home (NJ) and think it would be a good idea for a family meal next year rather than eating out. We'd like a whole turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, a few veggies, rolls, gravy and a few desserts.it would be fine to heat it up but I would want it fully cooked and delivered ready to heat.

I know Publix does a fully prepared meal but not delivered.

I would google restaurant delivery services in Orlando then see what places would offer a holiday meal.

Even with a Publix meal, it isn't heated up and ready to serve. You still have to heat up the turkey (it is precooked and usually frozen) and all the sides. And you do have to pick it up at least a day or two before Christmas. They aren't open on Christmas day.

We have done the Publix dinner 4-5 years in a row. They are very delicious. If you are buying for 10 people I assume you have a room with a full kitchenso heating up should be no big deal. I would get a cab and go pick up a dinner there. Make sure you order it ahead of time. Just find the closest publix to where you are staying.

Yes, we'll have a room with a kitchen but, no, I won't want to pick it up a few days before and I won't want to heat from frozen. Other ideas?

We will be at BCV for Thanksgiving. We are using WeGo for the first time for grocery delivery. After placing our order, Anne from WeGo called and asked if we would like to add a complete Thanksgiving dinner from Publix. I declined but she said it was very good and to call her if we changed our mind. They won't deliver ON Thanksgiving but the Tuesday or Wednesday before.

I know that the HHI resort offers this, and they don't even have a resturaunt. It seems to me that this would be a great idea for on-property resorts to offer, at least the ones which are "DVC-only", like OKW, SSR, and Kidani. They could use the kitchen facilities there to make it. How it works is that everyone who has ressies over Thanksgiving gets a letter about a month beforehand describing it and giving the deadline of a few days beforehand to order. Suggestion to the PTB at DVC!

The turkey is not frozen, It is cooked and all you need to do is warm it up

The turkey we got the one time we did this was still frozen, but it was fully cooked. We had to pick it up by noon on Wednesday before Thanksgiving.

They did this many years ago when DVC was just OKW and BWV at WDW. And it didn't last too long that I recall.
