So we've been a little slow reading up on this properly but are now thinking about order Photopass plus. The problem is we leave in exactly 14 days including weekends. Do you think this is a little too risky?

I found an older thread saying passes arrive within a week to the uk but not sure if this is still the case. Any more recent experience?

Thanks in advance :)

I am not understanding your question. If you order photopass plus, you are essentially pre-ordering the disk with your pictures on it. We had the PP last year, we didn't receive anything ahead of time. We just picked up the photo pass card when we got there and linked the number to our account. After the holiday, you just order the CD.

The voucher for photo pass plus is sent in the post with a disc of stock photos and a voucher for the cd.

OP mine took nine days, but that was about six months ago. I personally wouldn't risk it with the postal system being like it is.

OP is talking about Photopass+ (the one with ride and dining pictures included)

with this preorder you receive a DVD of Disney stock photos, and a voucher to get your photopass+ card when you arrive in Disneyworld.

This is a special photopass card (a red one)

The policy states that to preorder you need to allow 14 days for delivery

you need to certify that you are more than 14 days away from departure to be allowed to preorder.

As for the OP's question, I don't know what to say. It's probably safe, but not safe enough ...
Tricky question

Thanks for your replies. I was thinking it was a bit risky but hoped a few people might reply and say theirs came within a week. Oh well, something to save for next time.

Is there any chance you can call and do the order over the phone and get them to send it to your hotel rather than the UK, that might save some time and it would be waiting for you when you get there.

Thank-you for the suggestion Disneynutinlondon.

I think I may have found another way around the problem. We are going to order the normal photopass cd for $119 and then you can by an Attractions+ card which covers all the ride photos for $44. This is only slightly over the pp+ price of $169. All we will be missing then is the dinning photo's but we only have Tusker House booked so only missing out on one thing.

I've probably got this all wrong, but I was under the impression you could still get PP+ once you're there; pre-ordering only gets you a $50-ish discount. We were there last year when it launched and were offered one in the park.

As I say, I'm probably reading it all wrong - looked on PP+ Facebook page

you are correct. You can go to any photopass kiosk in WDW and purchase the PP+ at the full price of $199.
Preordering (14 days in advance) drops the price to $149

If you purchase directly once in WDW make sure the CM gives you the DVD of stock photos with the discount code inside.
It happened to me in November. The CM forgot about the DVD (and so did I, as I was jet lagged and overexcited) and once back home when I tried to order my photoCD I realised I didn't have the discount code to get the CD for $0, I had to find my receipt (lucky for me I keep everything), scan it, mail it and get a new code by mail (the PP people were great though, they extended the time limit for my pictures by 2 months so I had plenty of time to do the "paperwork".)

As has been suggested, the best thing to do is buy one when you get there.

I ordered mine on 21st April and still haven't received it, won't now get it until Tuesday at the earliest, so that's 17 days (maybe more):confused3 At least I have plenty of time before I travel

Thank you to the OP for posting this because I would never have known that I would receive anything by mail. I guess I just assumed it would work the same as photopass did. This year I ordered photopass plus but I figured it would work in exactly the same way.
