I read somewhere that I should order my DDE card after the seventh of the month because I'd get an extra month. I can't remember if it was definitely the seventh, though. I've been searching and I haven't found anything on it. I will be in WDW in the end of August. If I order it July 7th / 8th will it get to me in time? Any advice? Thanks! :wizard:

If you order the DDE and it doesn't arrive before your trip, you can pick up a temporary DDE authorization at Guest Services outside of Epcot.

The card expires on the last day of the month it was issued. After a certain date, it expires the last day of the next month. For instance, we ordered it 11/17 for a 12/8 trip. It arrived with an expiration date of 12/31. Sorry, I don't know what the cut-off date is. It will always be good for 12 months + some days from the date it was ordered, but you are right that you can get it for 13+ months. Guess that makes up for the hassle of having to pick up the temporary card!

Last year I ordered mine a few days before we left (it was mid Aug) and I was told to go to EPCOT GS to get a temp card to use and the actual card will be mailed to me. When I got the card it had a Sept 07 expiration date.

Thank you for the information. I was wondering the same thing. We are going to try to stagger our weeks this year and next to get the most from our APs and I was curious about the DDE expiration.
