Orbitz - Tickets

Can anyone tell me if the ticket voucher from Orbitz must be traded in at a ticket window prior to entry? I was hoping to avoid having to exchange and go right in the park upon arrival. With that, are there any other recommended ticket sites that align with my way of thinking?

Yes, you have to take the voucher to the ticket booth to exchange for tickets. It really doesn't take that long. I did it on a Saturday morning once. The secret is to go to the booths on the Habor Blvd side of the Esplanade, the lines over there are much shorter. I heard that you can also do the exchange at the onsite hotels.

If you buy the tickets at the Disneyland website then they are real tickets, but no discount. However, if you have a Discover card they are offering 5% rewards for online purchases. I'm not sure if the Disneyland site would be considered a travel site since those are excluded.

Thank you for the reply. Do you happen to know if I can exchange the voucher a day early? We will be arriving a day early and I was thinking I could run over to the ticket booth the day before. Or does it have to be the 1st day you use the tickets?

I had this same question a while back and wonderful DISers assured me that you could do it the day before. It gets activated when you enter the park.
