My SIL bought her tickets through Orbitz. She wants to link them on MDE. She is staying on property. I read on the boards that she needs to contact orbitz to get a magic code to link tickets. When she called them they said she con only get it at a window at a park. Can someone who has done this please help? I am not sure what to tell her to do..

The "secret" code is for resort reservation linking. It is the confirmation number that is used in the Disney booking systems.
Wholesale tickets can't usually be linked until you arrive and have the physical tickets in hand. That being said, sometimes the cast members at the Internet Help Desk can find order numbers with the wholesale confirmation number.
Give them a call and see. You never know. But be prepared for the tickets to be linked after you have them in hand.

Yes, you can link your orbitz tickets to your magic bands. You can call or email them and ask off your magic + number. It probably will start with the first three letters in your name with some numbers. There is a long thread on the budget boards about it from when ebates was offering 20% rebate on disney tickets.

This is the exact email that I sent customer service, and had my MyMagic number within 24 hours. :D We are in Disney now, have had all of our FP+'s set up, and had no issues picking up our passes/tickets when we arrived. (Didn't do magic bands) Send the message to the address: CustomerRelations@Orbitz.com

Hello-

"I am trying to link my orbitz ticket vouchers to my My Disney Experience account. I believe that I need a "My Magic Code".

Here is my information for my vouchers:

A&S reservation under: XXXXXXXXXXXX
Package Locator Code XXXXXXXXXXXXX
Orbitz A&S Code XXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Purchase Date XXXXXXX
Will Call Confirmation: XXXXXXXXXX

Thank you for any help you might be able to give!"

Yes you can just call back and tell them you need your magic code you have to wait 5 days after purchase but then you will be able to call and get the code and use it to link your tickets to MDE but you still have to take the paper print outs to guest relations to get your actual ticket card for use at the parks. We just went last week and had bought our tickets from Orbitz and did all of the above,so just call back and tell them you need your magic code and if they still tell you they don't have such a thing ask to talk to a supervisor!

After being on hold forever I got the number. I guess it is just the luck of the draw. FWIW it is a 12 digit number and the associate on the phone referred to it as an attraction number. Thanks for helping. :yay:

I just wanted to thank everyone for this thread. It saved me a lot of time and headache. I emailed orbitz customer support. I found the email two posts up, they seem to hide the email address on the Orbitz site. I had My Magic + code within two days. I was easily able to link my tickets to my Disney account.
