Orbitz Character Dining

I have found character dining tickets before on Orbitz (via Ebates), but now I am not seeing them. Is anyone else finding them?

Ugh, no, I can't. And I am so mad, I had orbucks to pay for them, but we have been indecisive about which meals. I don't see disneyland tickets either. If someone has a better link, I would be grateful!

I bought my tix too. I am going to hold out as long as possible that they may return to orbitz, but I guess Getawaytoday.com is the back up option.

Getawaytoday is not on Ebates, correct?

Well I am sad that they are gone right now, but at least I am not crazy since no one else can find them either.

Nope, not on ebates but they don't charge a transaction fee like the other site, Ares, does. (I don't think, at least. I haven't finished the check out process and it has been a few years since I used them)

The Disneyland tickets are on there under activities but I can't find the dining, but getawaytoday.com has them and even have the get a day free deal right now, but I don't think you can use it with ebates

Maybe it is a difference in dates but there are definitely no Disneyland or Universal tickets available when I search. There is a link on main page to purchase either option but then the page itself only offers Knotts, Legoland and other theme parks plus transportation.

What date are you wanting to see about? I didn't put in a date I just pulled it up under activities, but I just tried for dates in June and july and they pulled up?? getawaytoday.com also has Universial tickets with Disneyland tickets and the dining and it looks like the tickets might actually be cheaper 4 day with 5 day free adult is $288

March, but I only need character meal vouchers. I checked DLR and Universal tix when other people also mentioned having issues.

Hey all who may be interested, I finally was able to get in touch with someone at orbitz. Hope this info helps, she said they have a finite number of character meal vouchers and they appear to be sold out for most dates in March. . In addition, she said that is also true for SOME dates in March for Disneyland tickets so she suggested adjusting to dates around your trip to see if anything come up. For example, if I move my dates by one day, tickets do show up and she said it would be ok.

Yes, I said it was giant customer service fail in my book and I doubt I will consider orbitz in the future (this is true, I would have booked through Costco if I had known they were going to pull this stuff) but I was yanked in by the lure of ebates and orbucks. Never again. My DH is mad at me because I planned three character meals only to have this happen. . I will have to drop one or two.

Also, I believe character meal vouchers are not available on orbitz at all...I just searched all the way through August and none showed up for any dates I tried.

What is another place that offers character dining voucher discounts besides getaway?

Ares sells them but there is a $2/voucher fee. I don't know of any other source. Other than that, it requires booking a vacation package...you can do that through Disneyland directly or Costco (includes a free one with a package).

I was able to order vouchers tonight with a hotel booking but not on its own. I don't know if you could "book" a room but then edit the order once you have added the vouchers in your cart. I wasn't able to find them without a room booking though, so I wonder if they have changed their policy on the vouchers.

I just tried doing a dummy booking, booking HOJO's first and then adding the character dining. But then when I went to edit it I could remove the character dining but not the hotel. Boo, looks like there is no way to order the character meal on its own any more

I tried it too, but still wasn't offered the character voucher. Really seems to be unavailable for March. Or, it is just me.
