Does DLH ever offer suites through orbitz or similar booking sites? Or only through their website?

We are hoping for a quick Disneyland trip this summer, but we always stay on site (family of 6). Looking for the best deal on rooms. Ideas? We need either connecting rooms or a suite.

I don't remember ever seeing DLH suites available on Orbitz. I have booked 2 rooms on Orbitz and Disney automatically gave us connecting rooms, without us requesting it. As far as best deal, that's hard to say. It really seems to vary.

I would check to make sure its actually cheaper to book through Orbitz. I've looked at all of those sites and I have not seen any deals that were less than booking direct.

I don't know about suites, but Orbitz discount codes do apply to regular rooms at Disney owned hotels (up to $150 off usually). Cheaptickets is owned by Orbitz and usually offers a higher percentage discount with a discount code.

This. The price appears the same on Orbitz and CheapTickets but the discount code (which you apply at checkout) usually do apply. Sometimes if you're lucky the pricing will reflect a current room promotion AND you can get the coupon discount too. I have done this successfully several times. But I don't know that I'd hold my breath for a room promotion next summer with SWGE and all...

I usually find that, unless I'm staying just one night, I hit the $150 discount max easily for on-property hotels so it doesn't matter too much if you do Orbitz or Cheaptickets regardless of the discount percentage. It's very easy to cancel through Orbitz/CheapTickets as well so you can always book through them as a back up and watch for something better. However, you do have to pay in full at time of booking.

Plus, if you have Orbucks built up, that can make a difference. :)
