Just back from a one week stay at Orbit One. We would stay here again.

Location: Can NOT be beat (for offsite). Go directly across 192 at the light (it changes from Entry Point Bvd to Sherberth road on the other side) and you are literally 30 seconds from Disney property--just follow the signs to wherever you are going!!!

Staff: Everyone we met was wonderful!!!!!!! The front staff, the games manager at the pool and the maintenance workers we would pass always waved and smiled. The "guards" at the gate were friendly and seemed to recognize us after just one day!

Unit: water pressure: we could not run the jacuzzi, washing machine and shower in second in bathroom without losing major pressure in the shower but otherwise was fine for both showers going in the morning. Expected dirty floors from some of the review on tripadvisor--came with my swiffer wetjet, did the floors on the first day and did NOT have a gross dirty cloth like I was expecting. The floor WAS cleaned prior to our arrival. The patio area collected a water puddle after each day's shower that never seemed to go away.

Master bedroom had a king bed, double wide jacuzzi in the bathroom (with shower head in the jacuzzi area)(doubled as swimming pool for DGS --6), sink & toilet in same room as tub/jacuzzi, t.v., safe and telephone, sliding doors leading to screened in patio area,

Second bedroom: two twin beds, t.v, cd/radio player.

Second bathroom: standard tub/shower combo with toilet and sink.

Living room: t.v, dvd player, sofa, loveseat and coffee table. small carpet around sofa area, door leading to screened in patio area.

Kitchen: microwave, coffee maker, toaster, blender, stove, oven, fridge, dishwasher, etc.

Dining room : table for 6

Washing machine/dryer: a bit noisy even with the door closed--had to turn tv up a bit.

Pool(s): Main pool had two slides coming off a rock formation which was enough for DGS (6). We never used the quiet pool. They were very accomodating about people bringing in blowup pool toys and floats. Never had a problem. Everyone in the pool area was in great spirits and the kids were always willing to share their toys, boats, floats, etc with each other.

The Liki Tiki Water Park at the sister resort was well worth the $5.35 and ten minute drive. Spent five hours there on Tuesday. My DGS LOOOVED it. It is mostly just a lot of water slides, but the bigger kids always let him play water basketball and volleyball with them.

We stayed at Orbit One in Dec, and we enjoyed it as well. Our unit seemed to be spotless, and other than some peeling wallpaper in the bathrooms we did not see any other maintenance issues. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. You are correct in saying that the location can't be beat...with the possible exception of Silver Lake Resort which has a back entrance right on Sherberth Rd and might be 15 seconds closer to the magic.;)

We probably wouldn't stay in the Kissimee area again, though, only because we are more familiar with and more comfortable in Lake Buena Vista. We always visit the Universal parks, and sometimes SeaWorld as well, so Lake Buena Vista is more central to all 3 attractions. Don't get me wrong, getting to UO from Orbit One was not a hassle at all but we just like Lake Buena Vista better.
