I just called 1/800/BEASTAR to see if they would match orangevacations.com's price ($239) for the $294 reservation that I currently have for 3/31-4/3/05. However, Dwight, the reservationist, told me that orangevacations.com is on a blackout list. He said they show prices on their website for rooms that they don't have. He also said that Loews will honor prices from Expedia and Travelocity but not from "opaque" sites like Hotwire and Priceline. Guess I'll try Expedia and Travelocity.

I would call again. Sometimes it is a matter of "who" you talk to.

I just called Loews to see if they would change my rate and was told that I needed to call the hotel directly (Royal Pacific 407-503-3000) and make sure that I ask to speak to someone onsite at the hotel. I called and they matched the orange vacation rate. I was originally paying $234+tax from 6/29-7/2 for a Std Room and am now paying $219+tax. Everything else stays the same including cxl policy.
