I recommend that any adult going to Epcot, and isn't driving, stop in the area of the France pavillion and get yourself one of the Grand Marnier orange slushies that are sold from the "cart" next to the lagoon. They're a bit pricy, but very good. I'm not a big drinker, but after my wife & I found these two years ago they're now a planned stop at least once on any of our trips. They also sell a Grey Goose lemonade slushie from the "cart", but I don't think it's as good as the orange. Careful drinking them under the hot sun.

I had the Grey Goose for my first time last visit. The Grand Marnier is planned for the next.

:thumbsup2 A must have every trip for me too! I usually get mine just before Illuminations and enjoy it during the show.

My favorite! I am obsessed and have to have one every trip :worship:

I also love the Margaritas in Mexico..The Fiesta one! yum!:tink:

I have read about the orange slushy and the lemon grey goose slushy...I can not wait too try them all....

We will not be driving...Just have too find the bus back too AKL....:rolleyes1

Either the Grand Marnier slush or a nice Pina Colada from Mexico makes me a very happy man, but I agree careful drinking them in the hot sun, because it could equal a meltdown!

Wow! I was just there last week (16-22 May). Had the Grey Goose and a margarita (not on the same day). I don't tolerate alcohol very well (i.e. doesn't take much to give me a buzz.....usually 1/2 drink!) and found these to really not have alcohol in them at all. Even my daughter sampled them and said "no booze". For almost $9 per drink.......and all I get is slushy????

Not impressed in the least.

That's not cool! I've tried both and they were plenty boozy...and I like my drinks strong. Sounds like someone forgot to add the liquor to the machine.

You have to try the mojito slushie at San Juan, Puerto Rico (Location: Showcase Plaza) during the food and wine fest.

We get the Grand Mariner Slush every yr, last yr the one I had was very strong I will say I got a bit worried b/c I was getting tipsy and it was HOT

Ive tried the Pina Colada and the Fiesta Margareta and I thught these were strong too..

I had the lemon one in 08--VERY tasty!
I don't remember it being strong. Heard about it right here on the DIS boards.

Unforunately, upon me ordering it, Mr. FFerret decided it was time to leave Epcot NOW. Great, honey--we're couldn't possibly be any further from the parking lot here :)

So now I have to slam it so we can grab the boat across the lagoon. BRAIN FREEZE! He did let us ride Spaceship Earth, though :woohoo:

My DH is a 6'2 275lb. man and he had a slushie and said he was slighlty buzzed, so that is impressive. I am trying one before Illuminations this trip, walking to the Beach Club and will probably sleep like a baby!

LOL, I love that you can admit you like a good strong drink:worship: Me too;) I tried one for the first time last year at F&W Festival and I could taste a little alcohol but not enough to give me a buzz and I'm 5'2" and under 120...

I love these so much that the wallpaper on my computer is not a picture of my family or my dogs, but a picture of the Grand Marnier Slushy machine.

Holy Cow that sounds awesome! How did I miss that last year at F&W?!?! :confused3 Good news is I'll be there again this year -- let's hope they bring it back!!!!!

we've always found the slushies around the world showcase to be very weak on the booze...tasty, but no buzz whatsoever. Just have never had a boozy one in all the trips we've gone. And we insist on testing this theory every trip:lmao: We liked the flavors, but not the booze-less-ness with the Gray Goose and the Grand Marnier slushies, the Plum Tea slushy at China, Sultan's Colada at Morocco...and the fiesta margarita at Mexico (which we also thought tasted terrible - bad combo of flavors, imho.)

If you want a seriously good drink, go inside the pub at Rose & Crown - lots of goodies on there, and mixed properly (i.e. strong:thumbsup2) Also, the tequila bar inside Mexico pavillion has an entire menu of wonderful margaritas, etc...all made according to the usual standards for adult beverages.

The strongest drinks we get at Disney are always at the resort restaurants...

I tried one of these for the first time a few weeks ago. OMG..I'm a believer!:thumbsup2

Agreed :thumbsup2 The slushie is an excellent way to start off Illuminations.
