O.K here goes it. After 20 plus trips to the World, and always staying on site. We are going to be unfaithful to Disnay and stay at Orange Lake. Now before all you die hard disney resort stayers blast me, let me explain, I know have 5 kids, 4 disney daughters ages 11,10,3 and 1 and 1 disney son age 2 months. So unless we get 2 rooms and we are only gaining another bathroom and more beds or stay at a home away from home which are too $$$ what are our other options? So we are staying at Orlange Lake for 7 nights and then I need 4 more nights somewhere else or we may just stay there, we are getting the 2 bed villa. Any one out there stay there? any info will be helpful. Also we will have our own car since we are driving from PA sounds crazy huh? any one have any other places we could stay for the other 4 nights? How long is the presentation? And if we want to stay there again anither time can we get a good rate again if we sit through the presentaion agin? we are going june 06, we were supposed to go this June and stay at Port Orleans, I still have to cancel that ressie, it's a shame because I have a great rate with a annual pass but I just had the baby. so any help will be helpful thanks in advance Jill pirate: princess: princess: princess: princess: princess: pirate:

Hello;

I'm not sure what information you are looking for. You should enjoy Orange Lake (I own there as well as DVC - I stay mostly at Orange Lake). If possible, you might want to get a villa in the North Village. The pool area should fit the younger kids well. The olympic size pool in the West Village may be too large but the older kids might enjoy it. Next year at this time, hopefully, there will be a new pool attraction that they call River Island. They are also building new 8 story condos in that area and probably will start pitiching them shortly if not already. You might look them up at Orange Lake

thanks for the info, i think we will enjoy it there. i wanted to know about the food store there the publix, are the prices the same as one that is farther away. also any suggestions as to where to stay the other days pirate: princess: princess: princess: princess: princess: pirate:

Orange Lake is incredible, you should be very happy there. Do some searches and you can find alot of info on OLCC. We also prefer the North Village as Splash Lagoon is just great. We love to split our trips and stay one week onsite and one week off, so not everyone is die hard on or off property. We find each fills different needs and we love to do both. Enjoy, it'll be great! Congrats on the new addition.

Publix just outside the gate seems to have reasonable prices. I made a mistake and bought some food once near Vacation Village at Parkway; Definitely set up for the tourist as a can of tuna as an example was almost $2 while at Public it was $0.69, a more reasonable price.

We're owners at OLCC too...just another thought...you can request a crib and highchair to be brought to your unit. Barb

Another vote for Orange Lake. I think you will love it. The villas are huge and very clean. Easy commute to Disney and the supermarket is practically onsite.

You mentioned June 06 also. Not sure what rate you are looking at, but we just booked a 4 bedroom townhouse at Regal Palms Resort in Orlando for $112 a night including all taxes! It is a new resort further out than Orange Lake...it is down 192 past Orange Lake and then you turn onto Rt.27.. We go to Disney so often that we don't care if we are further out this time.

We are staying here this June and booked the same place for next February's Presidents Week sight unseen. Can't pass up a rate like that for a 4 bedroom townhouse. Plus, the pool area looks beautiful. They have a lazy river that you can float on, new health club, etc..You can do a google search for Regal Palms Orlando to see it if it is somewhere you might be interested in.

I have three kids and know what it is like to stay in one or two hotel rooms, so I thought I would just mention it to you.

Happy planning!

i also own at orange lake, and we love it, we stay there one week then exchange a week and stay near universal, ioa and seaworld, you should enjoy orange lake very much, plenty to do if you decide to stay on the grounds for the day

orange lake has rentals.

however I think cypress point might be less expensive if availability
