Hello. We will be checking in to RI this Sunday with an RCI exchange. I called Reservations and was told we would be staying in a 2 BR in the "River Island" area. I assume these villas are nice and the newer units since River Island is new. I have a few questions to anyone that has been there:

We have a 2 year old and originally thought staying in the North Village would be better due to Splash Lagoon for our small son-

Does River Island area have activity areas like Splash Lagoon for toddlers?

Is Spash Lagoon a close/easy walk from River Island?

Has anyone stayed in the 2BR units of River Island- If so, what can you tell me about them? Are they nice- jacuzzi tub, clean, etc.?

Any other information that you think may be helpful would be greatly appeciated.

I am traveling by myself with my son so I would like to be a little more knowledgable of all.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I think your trip has come and gone, livpl...and I'm sorry I didn't grab your thread earlier, so you could get some more information on OLCC:(

I know the RI area is very nice though:goodvibes

Welcome to the DIS, hope you had a wonderful trip:) :)

I would be interested in some info as well. We are booked for Orange Lake's West Village for Christmas week 2007. We are a family of five. Two teens and a nine year old. This will be our first trip to Florida. We are coming from California. Wondering about the weather. I have read it is typically about 70 degrees. But I have heard that is not so. Also, with humidity does that mean reads 70 but feels like 80?
