Orange County School Systems

Can anyone give their 2 cents about living in and around Orlando area? (i.e., school systems, quality of life for raising children, etc.)

My DH and I are both products of the Orange County School System and thought it was just fine. There are great schools and scary schools in the district, it just depends on what area you are in. If you have any questions about a specific school I will gladly try to answer it. We live in Orange County and plan on sending our children to Orange County Schools as well.

The high school and college kids that work at our clinic did not even know what "conjugating verbs" or "diagramming sentences" MEANS. Well, one of them did and three of them didn't. Some of these kids are/were honors students. I was flabbergasted by the whole conversation. It started when I said something about a word being past perfect tense, and the kid had never heard of that either. This is particularly scary since I'm a product of Louisiana public schools.
