Where is the Orange County Convention Center in relation to WDW. Is it in Downtown Orlando? Anyone know of any good hotels near it?

It is not in downtown Orlando, but more specifically in the International Drive area.

There are literally hundreds of motels/hotels in the general area of the Convention Center. The Peabody is right across the street, the Omni Rosen is next door, and there are many, many motels within a reasonable distance of the convention center.

It depends entirely on what type of lodging and the price which you want to pay.

The Orange County Convention Center is on International Drive. The address is Orange County Convention Center, 9800 International Drive, Orlando, Florida 32819

There are a number of hotels in the area. The Peobody is across the street. There is the Rosen Centre and the Rosen Plaza that are on each side of the Convention Center. There is also a Red Roof in nearby.
