Options if I don’t want to use my FP+?

Let’s say I have one for BTMRR 9:30-10:30 am and when I approach at 9:45, the standby line is only 10 minutes. If my window has already opened, can I still log into MDE and try to change it to say Peter Pan later in the day?

Scenario 2 – I’m at HS and go to Star Tours, where I have read standby is sometimes shorter than FP line. If I just don’t use it, and have nothing else there I want to ride/see, can I let it expire and head over to MK and try to get a 4th FP? I think I have read you have to USE 3 before getting a 4th – does letting it expire (versus cancelling it) count as using it?

Just trying to get my head around this (and hope it doesn't change too much in the next 7 weeks...)

1 - Yes (I think), as long as your window has not closed.
2 - Yes.
3 - Yes, either using it or letting it expire will allow you to book a 4th FP.

can you just cancel them if you get to the park and see you don't need them at all? 9 I know, I know...but humor me)
as in a 9-10 am slot for ks, 10-11 for EE and 11-12 for KRR, If we get to AK and we are good with the SB lines, can I just cancel if I do it before 10 a.m.?

If you miss your window that FP+ is still there so you have to use it. We missed the Splash Mountain FP+ and in MDE we were given a FP+ to any ride in MK to use by the end of the day. We chose the Jungle Cruise.

I know you can do your first scenario as I did that just a couple of weeks ago. Had a FP for the Safari at 9:15 but the park opened about 8:45 and we were at the Safari as it opened so we went on it right away. As I walked down the line I switched the Safari FP for a later Lion King show.
