Options for family of 5?

I am seriously looking at DVC but have a family of five. I notice that most of the Studio rooms list a max of 4.

What are the options for sleeping 5? Do any of the Studios have the ability to sleep 5? I have heard AK Villas have that option.

The only option for sleeping 5 really is the AKV 1 Bedroom which has a capacity of 5. Otherwise, you would have to go with 2 bedroom units.

The Occupancy thread has a lengthy discussion on this topic. The short version: Member Services has been allowing Members to book five in 1BR units, but you must supply bedding for the fifth person yourself. Except for AKV's standard units (which "officially" sleep five), this could change at any time. I would not buy a Membership planning on being able to get five in a 1BR, but others have.

Since the OP has received an answer, I am closing this thread.

Note that all of the 1 bedroom units at the AKV except those in the value booking category will officially sleep 5 persons of any age.
