Options for Blackout Dates

Our trip is planned during the dates that are blacked out for FD. We cannot change the dates, so we're looking at other options.

We can get a time share for $369 for the week, but we'd miss the EMH and flexibility that staying on-site offers for our grown children.

Should we be patient and hope for room discounts? If so, how long would you wait?

Thoughts? Advice?

I actually avoided the FD days and hope lines are less at the QS restaurants. I guess NONE of your dates are included so you could do a split stay?

I would wait for the room only discounts which should come out in the next 2 weeks. What about AAA? Are you a member? That's 10% off the room right there. Any corporate or credit union discounts?

We would be eligible for the military discounts, but they are ending 9/29 right now. We can certainly wait a few weeks for room discounts. I guess I assumed they'd have the same blackout dates.

My dates for WDW also fall during the blackout period.
