Options for adding 3rd day to our 2-day tickets?

Hi all,
I bought 2-day (1 park/day) tickets at UT before the most recent price increase.
We’ll be at DCA Jan 2 and DL Jan 3. I know both will be bonkers-busy since some APs will be allowed those days.
We arrive LAX 2pm on Jan 1 and thinking it might be worth going DL that evening since APs will still be blocked and crowd levels could be much lower.
What’s cheapest way to add 3rd day if we decide to do it? Do I do it through UT or Disney? My first choice would be to play by ear and do it at the gate, but thinking the reservations might sell out for Jan 1…

No cheap way to do it.
see if you can return them to UT, minus the 5% restock fee and get the ones You want. Hopefully they still have some old stock left at old prices.

Please note that not all APs are blocked yet so that is not something to bank on. There are still active Dreams. No idea how many, but they exist.

As previous person said, there is no cheap way to do it. You'll lose the savings you had no matter what you do.

Honestly if it were me I wouldn't do it.

I had this same question about a year ago! I'd call UT and ask what the options are. When I called, I would have to return and rebuy and they had no old stock to sell me for a 3-day ticket. We ended up upgrading at the booth, which negated every last scrap of savings and I wouldn't do it again. Instead, I'd buy G+ for those days and maximize my 2 days of ticket. But I didn't know that back then. If UT can help you, they will...it's worth the wait on hold.
