Options for 3 BRs close to WDW

We currently have a 2 BR reserved through a friend who is a Wydham owner at WBC. However, we realized after traveling this summer that our group would be much more comfortable in a 3 BR unit, and there are no 3 BR units available at WBC for our dates. We are considering switching to a 3 BR at Wyndham Reunion, but our group has one child who still needs to nap mid-day, so we'd also like to stay as close as possible to the parks.

Other than Windsor Hills and Windsor Palms, what are other options for either condos/townhomes or resorts (timeshare or not) that offer 3 BR options that are close to the parks?

Thanks!

I think there are some three bedrooms at Orange Lake Country Club. That's not as close as WBC, but it is pretty close.

We stayed at the Marriott Imperial Palms a few years ago in a three bedroom unit. Very nice and you get to use the facilities at the marriott world resort. Just down the road from the entrance to DTD or Rt4.

When is your trip? The General booking window when owners who own other wyndham points doesn't open until the 10mo mark. This means that as of right now booking is only open thru about the end of June next summer. If your are planning your trip for later next summer, you may be seeing no availability because the people checking don't own Bonnet Creek points.

If you are going sooner than that, if you are renting, it might be worth checking with a couple different commercial renters. Especially during high demand times, such as the holidays, Some of the bigger renters will pre-reserve units during those weeks and keep them in their back pocket to rent out when someone inevitably contacts them looking for a week. This practice means that while an owner may see no availability on Wyndham's site, The renter/owner who has reserved the unit already would have the availability to rent you the reservation they've already made.

Orange Lake does have 3 bedrooms and it is ridiculously close to WDW using the new toll road...less than 5 minutes. The toll road access is right outside of the Orange Lake gates and you get on WDW property from a very lightly used entry point. It is excellent proximity for the Disney parks/waterparks. I want to say its State Road 429 but you probably want to verify that.

Thanks so much. Our trip is actually coming up soon, so I'm pretty sure there is no availability at WBC unless someone cancels. It's not for a holiday week, and I've also contacted some of the bigger renters, and no one has a 3 BR for that time. It's my understanding that WBC has lots of 2 BRs and many fewer other size units, so I don't know how likely it is for a 3 BR to open up. It's really too bad, because I really would like to stay at WBC.

Reunion actually looks gorgeous too, and if we didn't have a child who napped, I think our group would love it. I'm still considering that too, but wondering if it's maybe just a little too far from the parks.

I'll look into the Orange Lakes and Marriott Imperial Palms too. Thanks for the suggestions, but would love to hear any more!

Well.... without knowing your group makeup, If you are looking at also having another adult couple join you (grandparents/parents/friends/ adult siblings, etc), another option you might look at is if there is a 1bdrm available at BC and then just expanding into the 1bdrm unit. You can request that both rooms be placed close to each other making it easier to room hop.

MUCH more expensive, and probably just as likely to be "sold out" this close, might be DVC rentals for one of DVC's larger villas or a treehouse.

Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of first hand experience with other condo and timeshare resorts in the area to offer ideas on other properties you can try.

The layout of the Orange Lake 3 bedroom has a very large room with a king sized bed, lounging area with sofa/tables and attached bathroom. The master has a king bed, desk area and attached huge bathroom with jacuzzi tub. The third bedroom has two queen beds and the bathroom is right next to it. Washer/dryer, full kitchen with utensils, eating area, living room with sleeper sofa and screened patio (at most villages) . The patio for the single story villas are not screened in. Hope that helps!

Did you ask about a 4BR at BC? Maybe they have a 4BR available.

Mystic Dunes is right behind Windsor Hills and has 3br units. We've only stayed in the 2br, but I've seen the larger ones on their website. Very nice resort and convenient to the parks.

Similar to the suggestion above to split up a bit, it might make sense to put the family with the nap age child in a value resort such as Pop Century. They would be close enough to spend time with the rest of the group but have the option of spending time at the resort at nap time.
