She took the show to Macon Georgia.

She had a singer sing 2 christmas songs at the end of the show. Then she got up and gave him a hug and a kiss. Told the audience about his Christmas CD, turned and hugged and kissed him again. Before the show left the air, she turned and hugged and kissed him a third time. My dd and ds were were laughing cause they said he didn't look to pleased, like he wanted to run away from her and hide.:lmao:

We were all impressed with the $3,000 refrigerator.

lol, i'm pretty sure that was josh groban, and he DID look a tad uncomfortable. i sure wouldn't mind having that kitchen aid stand mixer she gave away! i was decorating my Christmas tree while it was on, so i missed most of it, but i made sure i saw that mixer, i've been coveting that thing for at least 2 years, lol.

Darn it, I forgot that was on, I missed it! :headache:

My MIL gave me one 2 years ago. I maybe have used it 4 times. It is so big, it don't fit anywhere but on the counter. Luckily it has a cover.

lol, that's part of the reason i don't have one (price is the other part)-lack of available counter space.

My DD was watching tv when it was on. Thankfully in my area it reairs at like 1am. I have my DVR set to record it. I love her favorite things show. Im always jealous.

We received one of the KA Mixers from my brother as a wedding gift. It resides on our counter, but I have to admit it's lucky to see use 3-4 times a year... They are nice, but highly overrated for the average family if you ask me.

Now, the LG fridge - I'm wondering if anyone in Macon wants to ship it up to a Canuck for Christmas?!

I want that Clairsonic face cleaner thing. $195 though. :scared:

When the FedEx "elves" were bringing out the Kitchen Aid mixers, they must have had empty boxes. Those mixers are so heavy, and the elves were carrying them with 1 hand and such there couldn't have been anything in them. It probably was for effect.
I want that fridge! Or that 90 DVD collection!

Watched it!!! I was thinking that myself....no way everyone is getting all that stuff right there.

Oprah looked rushed and stressed, not really happy if you ask me.
The gifts were very nice.

Things that I loved were....

Samsung Camcorder, very cool. Out of price range though.

Plant Earth DVD Boxed Set....way cool and a good price, imo.

BREVILLE IKON PANINI PRESS FROM WILLIAMS-SONOMA....now this is something I might actually go get. I have been looking at panini makers for a year now.

I always look forward to this show!

I started watching this particular Oprah show in 2002 and that's when I fell in love with Karen Neuburger pajamas!

Then in 2003, I LOVED the Gingerbread Man Scrub!

Back then it really seemed to be her favorite things; now it seems kind of larger than life and very commercialized, like her producers/employees pick most of the stuff. But that's alright. I still enjoy the show!

You know I was thinking it seemed like the list this year was of the things she could get for free- not really her "favorites" Like is she really going ga ga over scrabble? What is that universal thing? I am assuming a bunch of movies? But for $800 maybe I am wrong.

I didn't watch it, but DH hurried home from work to watch it. I think he sneaks home sometimes and watches it when I am still at work!

He really enjoyed it.

I tease him because he has the TV tastes of a girl. When he is home in the afternoon he likes Dr. Phil and Oprah!

I watched it too, well most of it. Oprah did look stressed and rushed, not relaxed at all.

Yeah, I was wondering if she was sick. Also, Josh Groban has been on with her so many times! She had him on a lot when he was being featured on Ally McBeal.

It has 90 DVD's in there. 80 of them have won some type of Oscar.

I agree, this "Favorite Things" was nice but it seemed off kilter.
I think Oprah is just not feeling well. Near the end she looked like she was going to cry to me. I think that is why she was hugging Josh so much.

When was this taped? Before or after her school incident?

Remember back when Oprah used to actually show products that were things she used and were affordable for the 'comon folk'? I remember the year she gave away the Glad plastic food containers and she talked about how she loved to send people home with left overs, and this way she didn't have to worry about getting the container back. I'm sure that all the products were picked out by staff members, as she didn't seem to overly excited about any of them.
