There are 2 less sex offenders in the streets thanks to Oprah and a few very brave people!

I saw her show last week that dealt with that topic. What happened today?

Two of the men whose pictures she showed were recognized by viewers and arrested. She also mentioned that 1 other one is in the works, but couldn't comment since the FBI was still investigating it. As much as she bothers me sometimes, I am so with her on this quest, and I am so proud that someone has stepped up to change the laws and put a stop to what has been going on.

I agree. The laws concerning sex offenders need to be changed. Great job Oprah!

For all the people who have laughed at her, ridiculed her for her use of her money, her weight, Stedman, best friend Gail, her clothes, hair, her number of dogs, said talk shows are non-substance fluff, a waste of time etc., Oprah proved them wrong today!

I got teary-eyed when she said how this was a full-circle moment for her. That she knows she has been put on the planet for this. Coming from constant child molestation since age of 4, them being raped herself, to be able to use her power, fame, money, empathy & influence to put 2 guys away, is fantastically indescribable! (sp?)

BTW, I didn't see the part about catching a 2nd guy. Did those people too, get $100,000? Why weren't they also on the show & given checks? (Not that it's about the money - but they deserved recognition too, for coming forward & making the call to FBI.)

He has not had his day in court yet. He fled the country before he went on trial.

Oh, I thought she said it was because the FBI were still trying to determine whom the money was going to because I guess they got multiple tips.

Oprah said there are several people claiming to have helped and that the money would be divided among several.

I forget what country he fled to but since he has not been on trial yet they had to be careful with the words they chose to use.

I don't think the payment will be delayed because of the trial but just because they are trying to figure out just how many people actually had a hand in his capture. Seem lots of folks are claiming to have helped!!

I happened to catch the show today. It was awesome!!! I have always been a big Oprah fan. It is so nice to see someone in her position take an active stand against pedophiles.

The laws are so rediculously leniant when it comes to child rape. I'm just glad to see someone standing up and bringing this travesty to the forefront. Hopefully a drastic change is on the way.
